Great place to eat, the wife and I stumbled on to this place while walking around downtown Naperville. It was quite and seemed pretty new but we decided to give it a try and I'm glad we did. The margaritas were fantastic and so were the beer battered fish tacos. Everything was delicious and well worth the money, plus the service was quality. We will definitely be back.
Indoor and outdoor seating. Friendly and attentive staff. Free chips and salsa to start. Margaritas were bigger than expected. You only get two tacos when you order them, but they'relarger than average. The portion size for the fajita was larger than expected. Parking in downtown naperville is a bit of a nightmare though. ?
Service was friendly and they were pretty fast. Cute place, not loud and enjoyable. Food was meh though. It’s more Tex- Mex based not a lot of traditional Mexican flavors. Had the shrimp tacos. They were lightly seasoned, strong fishy taste, flour tortilla was not warmed up, lettuce made them watery, drizzle of their sauce was little. I think they would have been better if they were more seasoned , corn warm tortillas , cilantro and onions and the sauce they used. The flavors would compliment better. At least the corn was good lol.
Ended up here unexpectedly when another restaurant nearby wasn't doing dine in service. We both loved it. Margaritas are great and reasonably priced. Plus the food was really good for American style Mexican food. If you're looking for a relaxed place to have good drinks and pretty good food stop by this place in the downtown area
The tacos weren't too bad. Their guacamole and chips made up for it. As well as my peach margarita.
My favorite downtown restaurant has changed for the worse! Very sterile... no Mexican ambience at all, uncomfortable seating, except the booths..Service was fine, but I think one of the servers was cooking! I ordered fajitas and there was no spices on the food. The rice and beans were cold and very little food for your buck!I won't be going back!
Wow. The masa cakes were excellent! Chicken enchiladas were dry, but the ground beef chimichanga made up for it.This would be a 5, but they took like nearly 10 minutes to have anyone come and seat me. No nod or glance at me to even know I existed. Luckily the food was good. Service was good once they got to me, but they need a host at the door or something.
Great food, service and overall atmosphere! I loved the color and the art within the restaurant. The salsa and tacos were also amazing! But the service was the best!Would recommend
Staff was GREAT! Interior stylish. Tortilla soup salty, taquitos tasted like they came from the freezer section. Rice grains were rubbery. Steak taco meat was bland. Tortillas were doughy. This place is AMERICAN Mexican and there’s a certain demographic that enjoys this taste. I have never had this type of Mexican food and Im sorry but I hope I never do. It’s like a cheap knockoff of Mexican food. The only reason I see anyone going here is because it’s one of few nice Mexican joints around that people haven’t tried out yet. Try it, sure, but if you DO decide to go back for whatever strange reason just know, that you my friend have “unique” taste buds.
This used to be our family’s favorite little Mexican spot. We hadn’t been in since they renovated. While the interior looks great, the food has gone downhill. As soon as they brought the chips and salsa I knew things had changed. :( It was ok, but not as good as before. Pictured is the Elotes with “roasted corn.” This corn was clearly from the freezer and never roasted… we got the bill and left before ordering entrees. I’m so sad. I miss the old Front Street.
