Nice variety of baked goods. They were out of danishes:(. The pastry in the kolaczkis were flaky, buttery delicious. Scones, pies, bars were good too.

UPDATE: After posting my review I was contacted almost immediately. Due to the holiday weekend there were a few days of back-and-forth, but when I did speak with the bakery they apologize to me profusely on multiple occasions. It was made clear to me that this never should’ve happened and seemed like a one-off bad situation. The cakes themselves we’re good and for that, and how they handled this situation I will be trying DeEtta’s again.Original: Truly disappointed. I ordered 40 petite fours for a bridal shower. When I came to pick them up the person at the counter grabbed the boxed and opened them to show me. I was shocked to see so many of the buttercream ones were smeared. I pointed it out to them and they told me it was because the box flaps were accidentally put inside the box instead of the outside. I then asked if there was anything to be done and they told me they didn’t have any extras to give. I then asked if they could at least scrap off all the ruined frosting to make them a little more presentable. The person at the counter then proceeded to hand me a napkin and said “Sure, you can do it I have shaky hands.”
Cake was beautiful and delicious- ordering process was very easy. We didn’t have a slice left by the end of the party. Highly recommend!
DeEtta's cakes are amazing. I worked with Sandra for putting in the order. She is the sweetest. I gave the orders just two days before party date, still they took my orders and worked with me patiently to make some changes to the order. My cakes still came in as I wanted them originally. The colors were the same I wanted. They tasted DELICIOUS. They were perfect. Thanks DeEtta's :DHighly recommend this bakery.
We bought a chocolate cake here today for my daughters b day. The cake was so delicious the cream flavor was perfect ?. Its not you average cake and the cake it self was perfectly moist. I want to add the cake wasn't to sugary to the point where you need so drinks lots of water afterwards. The layers were chocolate butter cream and it had chocolate shavings on, the cake ? was delicious again. Lastly good service ?
Perhaps one of the best chocolate eclairs I've ever had. About the size of your head and so full of cream it weighs 2 lbs. I've traveled a lot & eaten a lot of great pastries at a lot of great bakeries, and DeEtta's really impressed me. The glazed doughnut and cherry Danish were also fantastic, but my God. This eclair.

Very good bakery. I love the old fashioned buttermilk donuts and the bacon cheese popover. I'd stop by more often if it was closer. Definitely stop by if you are in the neighborhood.
Listen, I’ve tried baked goods from hundreds of bakeries across the country. Baked goods are my thing. And then I moved to Naperville where it is a bakery ghost town. Everyone ranted and raved about this place, and to be honest, it is underwhelming. What makes it great is that it’s local and cute and the people are so nice. The biggest issue with this bakery is there is no consistency. Sometimes their sugar cookies are good, sometimes the are worse than cheap grocery store ones. They went years making the best chocolate cream cheese muffin but for the past couple months it’s been garbage. The cinnamon rolls look like heaven but they are completely (and I mean COMPLETELY) raw in the center. Don’t bother with any of the other cookies, they are flat and crunchy(bakery cookies should not snap in half…). Brownies are dry and flavorless. The cheese danishes are one of the best things they have, but they always run out. Their scones are good, if you get them on a day they are baked well. The donuts are below average. Gasp, I know. The cake donuts all have a bad aftertaste and the chocolate frosting tastes like chlorine. Their yeast donuts are the best ones you are going to get in the area. But the cake donuts are not good. At all. But at the end of the day, it doesn’t matter because they have such name power and they are the only bakery around, they can do what they want and they don’t need to QC their baked goods. And clearly, they don’t. Sigh.
