Service is incredible. You will never need to ask for the waiter, let me put it that way! We started coming here around this same time last year because the last few times we had visited the Bombay Chopsticks in Schaumburg the service was garbage and the food was absolute trash. We were served cold food and the waiters and staff didn't seem at all concerned and actually got irritated when we simply asked to warm up the food there. It was horrible and we will never visit that location ever again. On the other hand, this location is our absolute favorite. We've visited about 5-6 times over the past year and service has always been A1 and the food has been fresh and consistent every single visit. During our visit here this time, we ended up ordering firecracker shrimp (house favorite), and 7 spice chicken which was absolutely left you with your mouth watering with bursts of flavor. For the main course we ordered burnt garlic fried rice with chicken spicy, chicken Manchurian dry spicy, dang dang noodles spicy mixed, and Shanghai chicken spicy, all of which left me wanting more even though my stomach couldn't handle anymore food. Highly recommend you try these dishes. We always prefer to sit in front of the head chefs window as we like to watch a Master at work and trust me, this guy knows how to cook a damn dish! We always wave and thank him prior to leaving because of how content we feel after finishing our meals. I'm not sure what our waiters name was but we've had the same waiter the last 2-3 visits and he is amazing. Will check 2-3 times with us to make sure he got our order correct and that's what we like to see. Leaves us content knowing we will be getting the correct orders. We hope he will serve us once again! We will continue to visit this location and this location only!I felt the need to post a picture of my empty plate because that's how good the food was. I left not a single scrap on my plate. I changed plates mid meal to keep flavor profiles separate so that's why this plate looks a little cleaner than you would usually see someone's plate after finishing a meal.PS: I read a lot of the negative reviews, let me make it clear, you cannot review takeout food as dine in food. Take out food will never be the same as dining in. And for any service issues with take out im sorry but you cannot rate an entire restaurant based on only your take out experiences.
Outstanding ❣️❣️❣️wonderful food and atmosphere ❣️❣️❣️
I didn’t really like the food that much. It didn’t taste fresh but my husband enjoyed it. I don’t see us going there again. The restaurant is in a good location and the service was good too. The food might be too flavored for my palette and greasy but I’m sure other people might like it. The atmosphere is more on the fancy side than your typical desi restaurants so this place is good if you’re looking for that kind of romantic/intimate experience.
We ordered Manchow soup, lemon coriander soup and fried corn to go. The corn was absolutely delicious. However the lemon coriander soup was very watery and tasteless. Not much flavor. It looked like water down broth with a few pieces of carrots broccoli and cilantro. The manchow soup was ok. I would not order the soups again. The Hoffman estates location is much more flavorful.
The atmosphere of the restaurant itself is worthy of going back to this restaurant. It has a very western look and feel to it, and it was very clean. The food is one of the best in Chicago area, hands down, but the portions aren't big. The portions are decent size so expect a hefty bill
Ordered several items from the menu for the new year weekend take-out. First of all they have some items that are not available even in the so called places of origin. Fancy names that you can find only in Indian fusion restaurants. But it's good to try out. Be warned that items that say red chillies as ingredients, you will find a good heap of it. I normally can handle hot spicy foods but this is hotter than Andhra cuisine. I found many dishes with a good dose of chilly flakes. I will have to wait a day to see the havoc of ingesting that many chilli flakes. They are pricey and the servings can be a bit more generous for the price. The chicken drumsticks supposedly the milder version of lollipops (made with wings) was mostly a little lump of chicken fastened to a bone. I don't know if they gave me the wings version. Shanghai spicy chicken (only Sichuan cuisine is hot and spicy in China) has a good dollop of red chillies flakes, so does the Manchurian and fish hakka style, though the last 2 were milder in comparison.Drunken shrimps has tails on and is also covered in batter, so be prepared for a "kebab main haddi" experience (bone in kebabs, a expression used to hint that good food gets spoiled by bad preparation). Fried rice is good but like most gravy based dishes infused with oil. Lamb Mongolian was just gravy with a few mincemeat bits of lamb. All of the dishes costs a minimum of $15. On the whole, an expensive but kind of once in a while experience to have Indo-Chinese fusion food.
Flavors have been consistent between the two restaurant and always have been great. Catered this weekend with no shortcuts to either flavor or quantity.
We love this place and had the opportunity to try the Naperville location a couple weeks ago. The food was delicious, the service was extra attentive and everyone seemed genuinely happy we were there. It was great to see a big party in the back and tables filling in the front. If you love a fancy interior yet a comfortable casual vibe, this is the place. It’s an awesome fusion experience!
This was my first time dining at Bombay Chopsticks and what a pleasant surprise it was. Service was excellent. Food was perfect and could taste the freshness. Loved the fact that they have Jain options so we can order food without Onion/Garlic and we had someone with allergies which they also carefully prepared food for. Overall, great experience and delicious food. Our family (party of 9) loved it!!
Great ambience and staff .. however their spice level is different than other restaurants.. their mild is also very spicy.. I liked the noodles and starters but not the soup
