First of all its so spacious when you walk in and doesn't smell strongly of seafood or fish. It's very clean and the chairs at the tables are extremely comfortable. You MUST try the GRILLED shrimp they are amazing and HUGE ! Also the cocktail sauce and mild sauce was excellent and went well with the dishes. The HONEY HOT wings are a MUST you will not be disappointed but also the buffalo wings are extremely good as well. Everything is made in front of you and you can tell it's very fresh ingredients. Please support this local restaurant as it's one of the few seafood spots in Mundelein. Thank you so much and we will definitely be back for more
Avoid if possible. The potential is there but key components are missing that make Sufs Up a big NO. First, almost everything is overpriced. When I went, there were only three other tables with patrons at them, of which, only two tables were eating, the third was waiting for their order. This is counter service. They specialize in fried chicken and seafood. We ordered 1/2 pound of grilled shrimp and 8 wings. It took 1/2 hour to get our order and it cost almost $50. We had one can of soda with it because their soda machine was broken and they didn't have water. The wings came with run of the mill hot sauce in little plastic containers, they weren't tossed in the sauce. The shrimp was a little overcooked. For $50 I expect much better. We ate in and weren't provided any plates or utensils. Lower your prices, provide a better customer experience and maybe then we'll revisit, otherwise we'll go elsewhere.
Excellent taco Tuesday fish tacos $2 tilapia and some cheese grits… yumI’m a southerner and I know my grits, these cheese grits I respect. You just can’t beat $2 fish tacos on Tuesdays, can’t wait to try other specials/food options
Me and my husband came here last night and for the price, portion, and service it was amazing!! We are about 15 mins away from here and this will be our new favorite spot ! Portions are huge and food is delicious ! Thank you for the amazing time !
I had the lobster roll, garlic fries and corn on the cob and my husband had the triple dinner(perch, chicken wings, shrimp, fries and cheesy grits). So yummy. The bread for the lobster roll was so fresh, the sauce was great and the garlic fries were perfect. The corn on the cob was not overdone and in some light sauce. The cheesy grits were really good and I felt they were homemade and not out of a package. We’re going here again.
10/10 a little pricey but all seafood is definitely worth it! Will be coming back very soon great & fast service

Very disappointed- quality of food is bad- never changes oil- and you can tell by how dark the chicken/fries are- so worried about the $ not about the customer- $$$ and I’m feeling sick from old oil. It is sad bc when they first opened it was fabulous-be careful they will re-drop your food in the old grease too, fries taste like fish..ughh. They always want that $$ but don’t care if you get sick from their laziness-re frying food in bad oil. Be careful.
Words cant express how much I love these guys! I can be annoying when it comes to ordering food so I was nervous that my special requests were too much, but not for these guys! I had everything I asked for and then some! My order was perfect, this was my first time ordering Surf's Up through door dash so I called them to make sure they got all my requests. The guy I talked to on the phone was amazing and had excellent customer service. Every time I come here in person everyone is super nice and friendly and of course the food is BOMB. I highly recommend this place to everyone. I LOVE LOVE LOVE THE CATFISH! My husband is obsessed with the Turkey Greens. My next thing to try is the Po Boys and Fish Tacos. EAT HERE, IT IS AMAZING !
Found this place through an 9nl8ne search. We were coming back up north from Chicago and wanted to pick up seafood. So glad we did. Ordered 2 lbs of shrimp and fries. Both were excellent. The shrimp are huge and not overly breaded. The fries are hand cut and the garlic option is so good. Pick up some seafood and then go have a beer at dog-friendly Tighthead Brewing. We will be back!
