We had a 90th birthday celebration for my mother-in-law. The service was absolutely amazing. They went above and beyond to make this a special day. Everyone attending said their food was absolutely delicious. We all thank you for a wonderful day.

We hosted our parents’ 40th anniversary dinner at Gale Street Inn, and they did an AWESOME job. Their manager Bill was so easy to plan with; he designed an awesome table for our 25 guests. Mario and Rolando did an incredible job waiting on our entire party. They kept our glasses full, and our food came out hot. They provided the best service we’ve experienced in a long time - truly a fine dining experience.
If you’ve not visited recently, you owe it to yourself to experience this place. The chef and his team come from downtown and provide an experience beyond compare with anything in the area. I’m no longer a wine guy so I cannot comment on the list or the pairings. I suspect the owner would be an outstanding resource for this for those with an interest. Started with the mussels and the lamb lollipops. Both were excellent. Perfectly prepared, phenomenally mental sauces. The lollipops caused me to order the lamp chops entree while my wife had the whitefish almandine. NOTHING SHORT OF AMAZING! No room for dessert. For the first time in my life, I asked for the owner so I could thank him. Service was also top notch. Attentive but not at all intrusive. Outstanding food, outstanding service, fantastic value. Give the place a try…you can thank me later.
This is fine true fine dining. Wonderful atmosphere and views. The food superb. They have an executive chef and 2 sous chefs on staff. It will be a regular for us.
Visited again in march 2022 again perfect service perfect meal the atmosphere the food the service is a 5 star you need to go it will be a perfect meal !!
We celebrated my birthday at Gale St last night. This is the first time we've been back since the remodel and new menu. Wow, what a change. The food was outstanding and the service was excellent. The filet was melt in your mouth tender and cooked and seasoned to perfection. The rigatoni in vodka sauce was fantastic. My husband had the ribs and said they were very good. Prime rib was excellent as well. If you're looking for an upscale dining experience in Mundelein, Gale St is it.
Way too expensive for the quality of the food. $39.00 for a Ribs & shrimp combo!!! 1/2 slab of ribs are good. Four shrimp are mostly breading. The quality & taste of this dish is worth $28.00 max!!! Never again will I order from here and if anyone asks me about a good rib place I will send them anywhere but Gale Street.
Amazing staff and food. Went for dinner and ordered the king cut prime rib with French onion soup. The soup was amazing and the prime rib was made to perfection. Will definitely be coming back.
Excellent customer service and delicious food! I had the halibut encrusted with crab and it was out of this world. It was a special for the evening, but my friend had scallops risotto and it was outstanding as well. I highly recommend going to check out this new menu and chef. You will not be disappointed.
