We’ve go here occasionally, and this is a late review from one Saturday night dinner.First of all, wow!!! This place is huge!!! Parking is plenty— all the way to the side and back, so don’t worry about not having any spot during the weekend when you see lots of cars in the front. This restaurant has definitely been around for a long time. The interior has a classic seafood restaurant feeling, and again, it has plenty of tables and additional rooms every where you look. I agree with another review that this place has a different vibe from other regular restaurants. Nevertheless, everyone there is very friendly to our whole family. They make you very welcome and not awkward. Most of the patrons who eat there tend to be of older generations, but that just proves that this restaurant has many long time regular customers. That being said, the food is very good. It’s fresh and high-quality, which is essential when it comes to restaurant seafood. The flavors pop in an elegant way. We ordered shrimp de jonghe and escargot a la skordo, both of which you don’t find often at other restaurants around here. We also had stuffed shrimp bakers and fried calamari. As our main dish, we ordered Captain Selection, Sea Scallop and Soft shell crab, all of them are delicious. We finished up with Cheesecake. Overall the food is great, service is friendly and decently priced for a seafood dinner. We would go back again for sure :)
Absolutely the best meal we have had in a long time. The Dover sole, double baked potato, lobster and fresh vegetables were enjoyed so much. Frank was top notch!! From the greeting we received upon arrival and the service throughout our dinner truly made us feel welcome and appreciated. I highly suggest to treat yourself and your family to an enjoyable meal.
The food is tasteless, made with minimal ingredients, and overpriced. The high rated reviews are old people with no taste buds. 19$ for watery, and undercooked salmon with lettuce. Just lettuce. The lobster bisque is worse than campbells and frankly, everything, even the steak, tasted like hospital food. Not to mention the martinis have no alcohol content and the waiter was rude, as he couldnt hear anything I was saying correctly. Extremely disgusting and dissapointing.

We have had a wedding reception here, several birthday celebrations and many more to come. The food is amazing, the staff is great and accommodating. There is a band that plays by the bar area, along with a little dance floor.
I’m a big seafood lover and my boyfriend took me here to indulge me for my birthday. We were both extremely disappointed. The pictures and reviews made this seem like an upscale, nice seafood experience. When we got there, it was clear everything was outdated. The food was subpar, tasteless, and quite frankly overpriced. I tried hard to like it, as I realized we were spending an arm and a leg, but even then I couldn’t convince myself it was enjoyable. The staff were incredible, providing the upscale service that deserved to have the food to back it up with. Unfortunate to say the least. In a way we felt scammed. We will never be back.
This is a great restaurant. I brought a group of 9 friends with me on a Friday nite. The owners did their best to accommodate us with an appropriate table in their lounge and they succeeded! The entertainment was great and so was the dining.Thank you to Dover Straits!!
Ordered take out for Mother's day and found the food to be excellent. Well prepared and fresh. Take out was packed extremely well and was complete, with no mistakes. Oyster Rockefeller was well made. Soft shell crabs were not on the menu but cooked exceptionally well. Large fried shrimp were so good. BBQ ribs were not to my preference, but still ok. Salads were super fresh and plentiful.
Really excellent seafood. I always get seafood there. It is always really fresh and very well cooked. The halibut was cooked perfectly and the house salad was really good too. I have had crab cakes there in the past and loved them too.
The staff and service were awesome! Had a birthday dinner party with 12 people, on a Friday night. All add different entrees, and all were delicious!
