When I lived in town we ate Bill’s pizza all the time. Moved to Florida which I love, but the pizza here is terrible! I came back to the area for a visit and my daughter and I stopped in for pizza and oh my goodness!!!! Best pizza ever, It was delicious. I miss your pizza, Can you ship to Florida? Please….
Had this place recommended by three separate people when we moved nearby so had to try it out. Thin crust is good, 7.4, double decker is where the magic is at tho. Overall good quality ingredients and obviously a lot of skill from years of practice means pizza so good even when I got a couple burned pizzas no one complained.Attached used to be 2 larges
The Pizza and Atmosphere is outstanding. Our Server Mya was also most Excellent. She taught us something. When ordering Pepperoni on a Pizza, if you want the Pepperoni to be a bit crispy, tell the server to have the Pepperoni put on top of the cheese. We will sincerely become regular customers.
Had a fantastic meal here. Double decker veggie pizza was without a doubt some of the best pizza I have ever had. Our server Lynda treated us like we were guests in her home. Simply wonderful, couldn't recommend this place enough.
From out of town and stopped by for pizza on a Monday night. Atmosphere and service was great. Ordered a Bill's special thin and loved every bite! The taxidermy and lodge decor was cool. Wish we lived closer cause we would def return often. Our server was a kindergarten teacher and did an excellent job of keeping us happy. Well done!
My husband saw this place on TV! He saw the double decker pizza & he wanted to go for his birthday. We drove from Chicago. He loved it! He loved the double decker pizza, the drinks & asked me to give them a 5 star.I recommend the garlic bread with cheese, it's delicious! We ended up ordering 2 orders!The fries weren't good. The chilli is a good size because I like small dishes. The chilli was a 3 star.Service was fast & pleasant. Thank you to our waitress.The girl's bathroom was really clean. I like it a lot that they try to make it welcoming!!! There was a bench & real flowers.When the waitress gave us our bill, the receipt had a link to pay online. I loved it!!! Very simple steps.
I came specifically for their "double decker" pizza which I saw on Chicago's must trys (which meant a 2 hr drive) . It was shown to be alot thicker on TV than it actually was. It is essentially 2 thin crust pizzas. Despite that! It was really delicious! ? The staff was extremely kind! And I would describe the wait to be medium long. ?
Beware, bait and switch, lies and no regard for a customer is how you will be treated who traveled 40 miles to pick up a pizza and WAS a 40 year customer of Bills in Mundelein until yesterday and i will never go in to the joint again. No owner or Manager reached out to apologize of attempt to make it right, the arrogance is OBSCENE. I am planning on legal action because they say they accept AMEX on the phone in person and they don't. I was profoundly disappointed when I ordered a pizza at 230 on 2/12/22, to be picked up at 410pm. I asked if Bills accepts American Express Gift Cards, and they said they did. I got to restaurant and was told I was a thief and was using a stolen Card, I called Amex in front of personnel and let them hear that it was not stolen and was just activated. Being told I am a thief after 40 years and spending thousands and thousands of dollars was appalling and i made that very clear. I traveled 40 miles to pick up my pizza and left feeling humiliated embarassedd and feeling like they were going to make the whole experience a miserable event. The Manager, Thomas came to talk to me and instead of trying to fix the situation kicked me out of carry out because i was not happy being told I was a thief, he followed me taking pictures of my car and License plate like i had stolen something. He said that I was threatening his employees, which is a complete lie, I am 57 years old and don't treat people that way and never have. Thomas was smug, obnoxious and didn't like that i was pissed so he said it was ok for me to be treated poorly but not ok for me to voice my displeasure about driving 40 miles, being lied to and being called a liar. He said he has video of me threatening his employees and customers. SHOW THE VIDEO, There is NO THREAT TO ANYONE!!! THERE WERE NO CUSTOMERS THERE WHEN I WAS IN THE PICKUP BUILDING and he was the person talking to me. I HAD AMERICAN EXPRESS CALL, BECAUSE A GIFT CARD CONTRACT SAYS IT IS GOOD AT ANY MERCHANT WHO ACCEPTS AMEX, NOT THE case WITH BILLS, they are above the law. THEY LIED TO ME 3X DOURING THIS ORDEAL SO I AMS SUGGESTING TO ANYONE CONSIDERING ORDERING FROM BILLS THAT IF THERE IS A PROBLEM THEY WILL NOT TRY AND FIX THE PROBLEM they MADE RATHER THEY WILL CALL YOU A THIEF AND TREAT YOU LIKE A CRIMINAL AFTER BEING AS CUSTOMER FOR 40 YEARS. To say i am disappointed is an understatement, worst customer service i have had in 57 years on this earth.
We specified that we wanted a burger with just bacon and cheese with no other toppings. We went to pick it up and got home to see that they have thrown every topping on the burger. That fact we made it clear not to add toppings and they still did isn’t the part that annoys me, mistakes happen.When we got home to find our burger made incorrectly, we tried to call the store as ask for a new burger to be made, as we are 5 mins from Bills and don’t mind coming back to get our correct burger. They closed in 10 mins so we called immediately to have them cook the new burger during hours of operation. When I called I was left of ringer, so my brother called at the same time to try and get through before closing and the employees answering the phone would pick it up and hang up immediately, DURING HOURS OF OPERATION. That is where I find it annoying and disrespectful. I wasn’t looking for a whole new meal, for discounts, for anyone to get in trouble. I just wanted my burger made correctly as I requested and they continued to pick up the phone and hang up.Haven’t had any other problems with Bills And have been going my whole life…. This specific time, unacceptable.
My parents introduced me to this pizza joint in 1986 and I can't resist returning each and every time I happen to make it to Mundelein. While it's a tad pricey for a pizza, the memories with the family are forever enbedded!Great pizza and drink, excellent staff. You might want to call ahead during peak times.
