So I'm on a quest to try out all of the steakhouses in the Chicagoland area and tonight, I opted for the big chain restaurant, Texas Roadhouse. Having actually been to roadhouses in Texas, I was curious to see how this place measured up.First, any self respecting (and by "self respecting," I mean "not afraid to voice their - usually disdainful - opinion") Texan would go on at length about how no steaks in the midwest could possibly measure up to steaks in the lone star state.Joke's on them! I ordered filet medallions with peppercorn sauce and they tasted just as good as any steak I ever had in Texas, that's a fact. Actually, they were so good, I completely forgot about the sauce until the steak was gone! I also had a house salad (nothing unusual, it was fine) and green beans. The green beans were much tastier and not the typical soggy bland beans one usually receives in most restaurants.Last but not least, my server was wonderful. I'm so mad I didn't get her name because she worked really hard to make sure I was well cared for. I felt really bad for her because the group next to me made a huge mess and only left her a $1 tip so I made sure to give her a 40% tip on my own bill to help offset the other party's rudeness. But I digress. Thanks for the great meal and service, Texas Roadhouse - I'll be sure to recommend you to others in the area!

Very convenient to call ahead if you are thinking of eating here. A lot of people really come to experience the sumptuous food in their menu. Better have your name on the waitlist ? because of that our waiting time was not that long. ? I really love the ambiance! If only I checked out their promos I would have gotten a free side kick ???? Anyways, I enjoyed celebrating my birthday with my husband. I ordered the 8 oz fillet mignon with grilled shrimps, buttered corn and baked sweet potatoes. My husband ordered some steak smothered with mushroom and onions. For the first time we finished everything on our plate! For us it was that good! Also thank you for also making our veterans feel safe and important for the parking you allotted for them! We will definitely go back!!

I only have my experience in a Texas, Texas Roadhouse to compare to. When I lived in Texas I loved going there so I knew I wanted to come to one here in the Midwest just to see. We joined the waitlist online and in our hour commute, we killed most of the time we needed to wait. We got there and got a table within 5 minutes. Generally everyone is very nice. We got drinks fast but food took ages to get to us. I wish our waiter would have checked up on us more often. But overall everything was good but it didn't quite meet expectations. Not bad though!

We drive one hour for the rolls and cinnamon butter. We’ll come back for the service! Our waitress was super polite and friendly. I’m a fan of the ribs. The homemade steak sauce is also savory. Military friendly and they even save a spot for veterans. Thank you Texas Roadhouse for your support!

Amazing service, place is super clean, food is great for the price, staff is friendly lots of cuts to choose from, great specials and give you free peanuts

First off, I want to start off by saying our sever was amazing and that is why I’m post 3 stars. This was our first time here. We read a review saying to add our self to the waiting list so we did and our table was ready upon arrival. We were seated but never given plates or silverware. We finally received it when our entree came. It took a long time for our starter and entree to get to the table, especially the starter. The portion size of the food was great but the steak could of had a little more flavor. The atmosphere here is pretty great.

great food great service !

Awesome food very good server

Always an amazing experience at the Roadhouse, signed onto wait list and were seated within minutes of arriving. Place was hopping on a Saturday before 5pm, ordered a 14oz ribeye and my wife had sirloin and grilled shrimp, both were cooked perfectly. I started with a cup of Texas red chili onions and cheese, great kick to it our sides of mashed and baked potatoes along with corn my wife had were plentiful. Our server was great pleasant and attentive even though restaurant was jammed, not our first visit here, we have also eaten at locations in Iowa and Michigan when we travel,, and the one thing that keeps bringing us back is the overall satisfaction of consistency for a chain steakhouse...great job guys...

Yesterday 2/19/22 After a while we came back to celebrate my daughter's BD ,we were in the waiting list but we had to wait in the car 1 and 1/2 hour wasting our gas, finally I went inside and they told 15 more minutes, when we were seated we order appetizers and drinks Joe delivery the drinks fast and the appetizers did not come together, they came one by one , and when we order dinner we had to wait a lot for our main course we order 2 bone in ribeyes and 16oz ribeye and shrimp dinner, well the bone in rib eyes were very fatty and the 16oz ribeye was like 12 oz and cold the green beans were mushie , I remember Lone Star used to do that charge a for a 16 oz rib eye and served 12 oz, That is one of the reasons that they are not in business anymore, Last week we ate at Longhorn at Norridge 1.50 more but the portions a quality were adequately, this is not like before, We do not expect to be like Ruth Chris but You guys need to serve what the people pay for, we may give them another try in the future and see is they fix this issues, the 2 stars were for the service Joe was outstanding
