A must stop, If your in the north Chicago Suburbs.. I would have bought one of everything. And, I'm already planning a second visit. Some of the best Baked goods I have ever Tasted..No lie, I had the best cheese Coffee Cake I have ever had.

Continental Bakery did such a wonderful job for my sons 5th birthday cake! The cake was delicious, and they did such a great job decorating it!

We’ve been getting cakes at Continental backery since our son was 1 year old, and every time I come to them with an idea they deliver! I love that they are able to take an idea of mine & do the best to their ability to make it come as close to what we envisioned. They do not disappoint. Not only is it aesthetically pleasing but the flavors of the cakes themselves are absolutely delicious.

Best Baby Shower Cake Ever!!We've been customers of Continental Bakery for over thirty years. They never disappoint.......they have the friendliest, most professional staff who listen to what we asked for and gave us the most beautiful cake imaginable. It's a team effort beginning with Stacey who has the patience of a saint; followed by Chris the cake decorator who's roses on the cake were like small works of art. And they are helpful beyond belief; Briana, Rachel & others help me load the cake into the car and surround it for the long journey from Mt. Prospect to Vernon Hills.......And Stacey's recommendation of the strawberry bavarian filling was perfect. The cake sliced beautifully and was the talk of the shower. Thank you all so very very much. P.S. I'm pretty sure the bakery has a photo of the cake, so ask to see it.....its beautiful!!

My family have been fans of Continental bakery for more than thirty years. It's our go to place for specialty cakes. Just last week I ordered the most beautiful baby shower cake! Stacey was my first contact and she patiently listened to all my requests, took notes, took pictures and delivered a masterpiece. Chris, the decorater created the most beautiful topper with a Boho motif of feathers, leaves, etc and spectacular roses, that my niece provided. Briana, Heather & others helped me load the cake into my car and everyone was so professional, caring & kind!! And the cake itself with its strawberry bavarian filling got rave reviews at the shower! Thank you all so very much!!

If you want homemade old fasion bakery deserts, go to central Bakery !!! The cakes are 10 stars!!! They take pride in their baking. Your taste buds will agree. The cookies ,you cannot just eat one. You eat the whole bag at once. The apple, cherry, strawberry Danish is out of this world. I drive 44 miles one way. It is worth the drive.

Dude. There are a lot of places in the Mount Prospect area where you can grab a run of the mill baked good. There are two Mariano's within driving distance. What CCB offers that other bakery's don't is flavor. I bought a carrot cake the other week and you can actually taste the spices. Most places make the frosting so sweet that it overpowers the rest of the ingredients. I had a chocolate torte that I was expecting to be very sweet and was pleasantly surprised when it was well balanced. They made me a customer. Now if they'd only start offering some vegan options....

Went for their paczkis and they didn't disappoint. A little pricey ($5.25) for the gourmet type, but it is a once a year treat for me. Also, they charge a 4.25% fee if paying by credit card. At their prices I don't feel this is fair. I would appreciate it if this fee was dropped. I would hate to see other businesses take on this fee. It will change my mind about patronizing these kind of places. Would have given 5 stars if this fee wasn't imposed.

If you go here on the weekends be perpraied to wait for 20 minutes. The coffee cakes from here are the best in the area. The cherry pie was really good the filling had so many cherries in it.

DO NOT GO ON THE FIRST DAY OF PACZKI FESTPreorders were not ready. Varieties preordered were not ready on time.I had two 9:15 orders. At 10 , they asked if I could substitute since 2 of the kinds were not made yet. Offered me coffee or a donut. No thanks. I said I would wait. At 10:20 they said the one variety would not be available for some time later today, so I had to call the person I was picking up for and had them choose a substitution from those available in the display case. They apparently have too many varieties to handle the baking. Why preorder and prepay? Today it would have been faster to justchoose form the display case.My 9:15 orders(with a substitution) were ready at 10:40. The counter person was friendly and apologetic. NOT her fault. It was the back room that was inefficient.Product was very good.Bad customer service.
