An extremely nostalgic experience while also keeping up with the quality of ice cream. Best flavor there is either Sgt Camo or Grahame Central but you really can’t go wrong with any!
I had to stop at Whitey's on my way home. I live in Mississippi now but grew up on Whitey's ice cream. It is still my absolute favorite. I had a red and black raspberry shake. It was absolutely perfect. I would happily drive the 900 miles again if it was for a Whitey's ice cream.

My wife had a Whitey's tee shirt many years ago from a visit to the quad cities area (before we met). When we were in town, we decided to visit Whitey's so I could also try it out. It was excellent! I bought her a new tee shirt to replace the old one that has been gone for years now.
Im not trying to be a Karen but the girl there was rude. She had a braid and freckles/acne on her cheeks. She said hello to us and then then went to go tell my friends boyfriend that we were here while laughing at us, then she completely ignored us standing there waiting to order and went to the person behind us. Like she didn’t even ask us if we were ready before doing a order for the person behind us. She was a b***h to be completely honest ?♀️
I scream you scream we all scream for ice cream!!!! The best ice cream I have had in the Midwest. Homemade, unique flavors and the most friendly and helpful staff on the planet. Whiteys has been my go to since I tried them back in 2008. If your looking for something new different or even special come to this place and tell them what u want. Made to your order and fresh fruits all the time. Special orders welcomed. Thank you all who work for whiteys without you all ice cream would be plain!
One of three reasons to stop over in the Quad Cities, along with Roots Pizza and Ross'. Many chain-made varieties of ice cream, and a wife stay of sundaes, shakes and malts. Servers will hold the shake upside down on request to show how thick it is. Also the originator of shakes with candy pieces mixed in.This store is right next to another fine ice cream shop, Country Style, apparently started by one of Whitey's principals after he sold his share. Don't know if they also make their own ice cream, but menus are very similar. No need to choose sides, just try both of you're hungry enough.
I am not an ice cream person but girlfriend and kids really enjoyed it. Stopped back by before going home to take 3 pints home with us.Staff was helpful and very kind. Well differently be back when in area again.
