Coya's Cafe is a hidden jem. I have lived in the area my whole life and I've never even heard of this little cafe. When I arrived to Coya's Cafe they had my order ready by the estimated pick up time and they were very kind. The food was amazing. I plan on making Coya's Cafe a regular dining spot! If you haven't already tried Coya's Cafe you need to head there RIGHT NOW and try it out. I recommend their gorditas! They are a great size and *chef kiss ?* delicious! I'd recommend Coya's Cafe to anyone who wants some delicious, made from scratch, Mexican food! Why are you still reading this review?! GO TO COYA'S CAFE NOW!
Best steak quesadilla!... and the corn in a cup?
I would say I didn’t like my choice I ordered wrong thing figures that’s me but the place was very nice employees awesome great place next time I’ll actually order something I know I’d like, my husband loves it!
Had the pozole which was good but they served it with tortillas instead of tostada shells which wasnt a good combo. Next time ill take it home n get my own tostada shells.
I'm giving you 5 stars because your food is great.... but please for the love of all that is holy... open a few new locations and maybe put a different checkout spot for to go orders...and it will be perfect....
Bottom line their food is amazing. I was doing a delivery for uber eats and had to wait on an order on a busy Saturday night and was able to witness the chaotic work enviroment here... it was literally a mad house. They have become a really popular place to eat and seem to have outgrown this smaller location as everyone was on top of each other in the kitchen while trying to prepare orders, hand off carry out, and prepare food it was truly crazy. Also since theres not much seating inside your best option is carry out.
This was the BEST MEXICAN FOOD I have tasted in the quad cities yet. The customer service was great. Very Friendly.
I SO badly wanted to like this place. I'd heard such good things about it, and obvs most people have a great experience. We did not. Parking was a mess and it was very hard to find a place to park. When we entered, there were no less than six people standing at the front of the very small restaurant. They appeared to be super busy. We opted for dine-in. I ordered the Quesa Burria Tacos after looking at the photo on the wall. I wanted four of them, but you can only order them in threes. No biggie. Per the picture on their wall, the Quesa Tacos looked to be meat, cheese, shell. Great, I thought, since I don't care for onions and cilantro.Took us close to 30 mins to get our food, which was just six tacos. I had wanted two waters, but no free water was available - you had to purchase bottled water. Chips and salsa are also not free - $3 for that. Again, my mistake for not sitting down and checking the menu before I ordered. When I finally got our tacos, I looked at them and said, "Oh, I ordered the Quesa Burria Tacos" and the woman behind the counter said that's what they were. I looked up at the photo on the wall, and back at my entree, and it clearly was not the same thing. My tacos had a ton of onions and cilantro on them. The photo on the wall did not have onions or cilantro. See my photos. The tacos were so oily/greasy that my mom could not eat them. We both agreed the taste was phenomenal, however. I finished all three of my tacos. And we split a slice of tres leche cake. The cake was great. There are so many things I want to try, and the place is super cute. But not sure I will be back.Food quality was great, albeit greasy on the tacos. A $27 lunch for two with no drinks however... a bit much. And the wait... way too long for six tacos.
First time I tried this place. I called to place an order but could not get anyone to answer, recording said that the mailbox was full. I went to the store and placed an order, then had to wait. I did not like that part, but I must say that it was worth the wait. This food was great! I would have given a 5 star if I could have ordered on the phone.
