Long time customer of Tommy’s going back to the 80s when I was in HS but this is no longer the same place and the food quality gets worse every year. I keep giving them another chance but they keep raising prices and the food gets worse. I had a rib special over the weekend and with a coke it cost me $24 and the meat was terrible and tasted like it had been in a freezer for 5 years. This is now the second time the ribs tasted like this and if not for the bbq sauce to cover the bad taste I probably would have thrown up. The hot dogs are no longer good or fresh tasting either. Too many other choices these days with better food and employees that are actually nice without the attitude.
The new chicken fingers are to die for just ordered them not to long ago. Amazing as well as the hot dogs
Just got home with my cold dinner. I only live 10min away and I’ve never came home with cold food from here before. Also the guy at the window would only open the window enough to pass my bag of food threw. Pretty rude. And their prices went up AGAIN! I think I’m done with this place after tonight’s experience.
I'm finally going to review after numerous failed attempts to get good food from this Tommy's. Two hor dog special is a great deal, however, when you're always getting a stale cold bun, with a pickle spear that looks as though it has been thinned out many times, about 6 onions (yes, I actually counted this time), a thinly sliced tomato (just one) and when ordered as Chicago style, there is no sport peppers or celery salt, you're going to start to question the deal. Chicago style is Chicago style... it's not rocket science!! Home depot figured it out. Other food is bland and nothing to brag about and the attitude of the folks who are working, forget about it. Tommy's used to be a staple around here, but as they say, "All good things must come to an end". I will no longer be supporting Tommy's.
Love Tommy's great gyros and the cheese fries amazing! I prefer the one in mchenry off 120 or elm.
A little to cold in the dining room. Felt like heater was not working.
Had bad food order been ordering since first opening in McHenry had kids over for dinner ribs were dry along with gyro dinner and gyro salad no coleslaw with ribs told they stopped two months ago but charged same price on menu very disappointed have always had good experiences
My Italian beef was awesome! Fries were good to. Portions were huge!
It was decent typical fast food. The guys were professional.
