I’m all for keeping the environment clean, but the way they stacked the sushi and sauces in the paper bag caused it to leak all of the bottom and ripped a hole. When we went in it wasn’t busy at all so I wasn’t prepared for it to be so sloppily put together. Will choose sakura next time because they keep their boxes stacked correctly. ?
The all you can eat sushi here is to die for. These pictures are from their all you can eat lunch menu. As you can see, they take pride in everything they send to your table. The taste matches the looks and the service was on point.I strongly recommend the Eel. The roll pictured is the McHenry roll, also, top notch.
Did the all you can eat. Definitely not worth the $70 for two people. They didn't even bring out the right sushi. The restaurant was small and felt really cramped. While waiting for the chef to make your rolls your rolls the servers stood at the bar staring at us pretty much the whole time and checked on our table so often as to give the impression that they just wanted us out of there. You can get all you can eat sushi for much cheaper much cheaper and much better quality and actually I'm not getting the right sushi other places. I would not recommend This place to anyone.When we got there there is barely anybody inside. I'm guessing there's a reason for it. And don't even bother ordering the fried scallops. They're obviously straight out of a Box As the breading was not very crispy and they were very chewy. I have trouble eating 2 of them. Also if you do decide to go here only fill out one ticket between you and whoever else you are with. It would be extremely easy to overorder at this place and they charge you for whatever leftovers you have in eaten.
Not only do they have the best sushi, they have a great chicken teriyaki! Staff was so friendly

I ordered 2 rolls and you could tell they were not fresh. And my avocado was straight brown in every roll and the cucumber seemed old too. First time ordering and my last. I’ll stick to Jewel sushi

My boyfriend & I have been here on multiple occasions. Every time, we actually get sad that we get full so we have to stop eating. Lol! The food is all made fresh on the spot unlike most sushi joints. We usually go for the dinner all you can eat as they have more options that we enjoy. The water tastes a bit like well water so I would advise getting something else to drink but it doesn’t weigh down on the food whatsoever. The place is a bit small but super cozy. They have booths & tables. Their bathrooms smell nice and look clean. I would come here over & over again!
Great quality sushi. They have all you can eat lunch specials. Service is slow during lunch time. Plenty of inside dinning. Booths or chairs and tables. Ice water tastes like unfiltered tap water.
If you’re looking for a good sushi in McHenry and Johnsburg area this is the place to go. The crab Rangoon is so sweet and creamy and deliciously made every time. The miso soup is comforting and always a delight. Sushi crafted right behind the bar fresh for every order. Very hospitable and very kind staff.
