Excellent experience
Good food as a reasonable price.
We are new to the area and while out we stumbled upon Plum Garden. After a quick google search for the reviews, we decided to stop in and give them a try for a quick afternoon snack.First, the lady at the front desk was very pleasant while the younger women who sat us seemed to hate her job. When she sat us, I smiled and said "thank you" and in return she gave me a dirty look didn't say anything turned and walked away. After sitting and taking in the room, the decor and atmosphere reminds me of The House on the Rock attraction in Wisconsin. Very gimmicky, dark, red and black with Christmas decorations still up. Btw, it's June and these decorations have been up for YEARS with the amount of cobwebs that are attached to them.Secondly, we ordered the pot stickers - fried, and when them came out they were on a large cabbage leaf that had the pepper spots. Not the most appealing when you are serving food. I had to check to see if they were bugs or mouse droppings. Maybe skip the "decoration" next time. If that wasn't enough, the pot stickers were made of egg roll wrappers rather than dumpling wrappers, and they were literally fried in oil...not pan fried.Third, the main dish we ordered was the honey crisp chicken with pan fried noodles. The chicken was cold, the sauce was so disgustingly thick and sweet (not honey sweet), and the batter was reminiscent of funnel cake. The pan fried noodles were like ramen noodles that needed a few more minutes in the pot. After years of living blocks from Chinatown in Chicago, we know what real Chinese food is suppose to taste like. THIS is not it!!I'm not sure what the 5 star reviews are, but we will not be back to try it out.
Just ordered from there, half food was cold, most tasted steamed to no flavor beef in chop seuy and fried rice was not chewable, messed up the order and over charged me, I got 10 pounds of food that I threw out, never again
Went with some friends visiting and had a wonderful time. Our server was very attentive and friendly.
Wonderful food as always and a really excellent server!
the food was very good as usual. the egg foo young were larger than usual and very tasty. the service was very good. plum garden is a great place to go. the prices are a little higher but you get what you pay for.
First time there. Was very surprised on how great the food was!
We always love coming here. I have multiple food allergies and most of the items can be prepared in a friendly way for me. The crab Rangoon is the best I've had anywhere! Staff is friendly. Service is prompt.
We had two children and asked to sit in the back booth. Food was amazing. Love their honey chicken. Much better than PF Chang’s.
