I was surprised going inside. I would design it to be much more attractive and cozy to welcome customers. It doesn't look good! The food was ready on time in 15 minutes.Not happy, the food was not good. Very bland. I won't go back.
their wonton soup isn’t as good as the surrounding chinese restaurants, but they cost the most. It had less wontons, and it lacked flavor. It also made my boyfriend and I extremely sick.Their wonton soup does have green onions for anyone wondering, but i seriously recommend you avoid this restaurant. China town down the road is lovely but closed on tuesdays (the only reason i decided to try this restaurant).
Orders seem to cost more. An the portions get smaller. Better yo est at home
I was driving through McHenry and thought I'd try out a restaurant that was new to me. Overall the szechuan chicken was okay - not the best but not bad. But the egg roll tasted like smelly feet. Maybe the oil was old? Not sure. I probably wouldn't return if I'm in the area. Due to covid precautions, there was no bathroom option and the environment didn't feel welcoming to me.
The Mongolian beef is by far the best I've ever had, it's tender, juicy and fresh. My gfs and I favorite Chinese place.

This is the pepper steak. Ate around the ridiculous amount of vegetables. Maybe 1/10 of this meal was actually the steak, and that's being optimistic about the proportions. The chicken fried rice was extremely bland along with the rest of my meal. Used to be my go to Chinese restaurant but seems like it has changed for the worse.
My favorite restaurant in McHenry! I've never had a bad meal from here and the food is always delicious. Great customer service! The girl working the register on Tuesday and Sunday is so pretty!
I found a metal wire from most likely a grill brush in my chicken lo mein. Will not be ordering again.
