They serve very good food here. everything is fresh and tasty. The only thing that does not match the nice decor and very friendly service are plastic plates and cutlery. But it's generally worth stopping in here for a meal. I can recommend these restaurants with a clear conscience.
We purchased the Taco Bar from Meat and Potatoes in McHenry for my sons birthday party yesterday and it was amazing! Great food for a great price! We did the amount for 20 people and it was more then enough! Thank you so much, and thanks for making my job a little bit easier!!
Always great service and delicious food personally order meatloaf or pot roast pretty regularly but everything else I have had has been fantastic. Definitely recommend my son is a picky eater and will eat almost everything on the menu.
Everything we try is better then the last pick. Plus a slot jackpot of $1380.00 will buy a lot of dinners there!
Their desert menu has expanded from when they first opened. We have never been disappointed with anything that we've ordered. The food is prepared while you wait so it's always fresh and the dinners always hot.

We stopped in on a Sunday afternoon and had their traditional Italian Beef on French bread and the M & P Italian Beef on chabata roll. Fantastic and filling. Go there. You won't be disappointed.
I love this place, every time I get it I always wonder why I didn't come here sooner, as I live pretty close. While I have yet to dine in at the resturant, the takeout is always really quick and delicious.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Menu options off the charts compared to most places these days. So far I've had the roast chicken dinner, it was delicious, but a tad to salty for my preference. The country M+P bowl, potroast with onion strings over mashed potatoes with mushrooms and gravy. Delicious homestyle dish.Looking forward to my next visit.
I have to change my overall review based on my latest visit…None of the staff had on a mask. 3 girls around the counter nor the 3 guys in the kitchen. I almost wanted to ask for a refund and leave upon seeing that. You’re dealing directly with people’s food, wear a mask during COVID regulations.Hot sandwich was hot but the bun was not toasted and soggy upon getting home. An easy fix if you toast the flimsy bun. Onion rings were somewhat warm but also soggy. Overall a very ehhh experience.Will try again because I know they are better than this… but if it had been my first time here I would never go back.
