This was by far the dirtiest place I have ever been, there is syrup caked on the walls, and empty creamers on the floor, does not look like they wipe and sweep, we didn’t get any silverware with our meal. We got highchairs that were sticky and broken, so we were not able to strap our children in. We waited for at least 10 minutes to be greeted, and after that the service was slow
The staff here are great, especially Annabell(sp.) Female cook really tries to prepare things the way customers prefer and usually nails it. Restaurant and furnishings are dated but clean. This is one of my more favorite places to dine out.
Staff was okay. Seats in the booth were dusted with salt or sugar. Ordered the bacon breakfast burrito and the classic all you can eat pancake meal. Took a while to get the food. The burrito was 80% under cooked hash browns. Couldn't eat it. I ordered the pancakes with bacon and received sausage. The scrambled eggs had been sitting under a lamp or in an open steam table for a long time as they were dried out and tough. Apparently the amount of pancakes you can eat for the price of the all you can eat pancake meal is two. Our associate never returned to bring me any more of their small pancakes. I talked with the manager about our experience and she comped me $4.99 on the bill.We did manage to watch our waistlines here at the McHenry IHOP. So that was a plus.
Great service. Unfortunately they took the grilled cheese off of there kids menu, and my niece always gets that from there. She was really sad about it, but thankfully our waiter asked In a favor to the chef and got her, her grilled cheese.
Only 2 servers and 1 cook on tonight. I am trying to be fair but my pick up order took over an hour to be ready. I waited at the location for 40 minutes or so. Our order was not 100% correct and they were doing their best.
Extra crispy hash browns. Or just drenched in oil. This was after they made them crispy after they messed them up. I feel bad for the waitresses that work here. I would hate to work somewhere a cook doesn't know how to make crispy hasbrowns and have my tips affected. I can't bare to tip well when my order is messed up. Well the waitress didn't refill my drink once and I had next to nothing when I started my meal just overall poor service. Did get credited because of the poor service so that's a plus. 1 to 2 stars
Decent senior breakfast for $6.99. The customers in the booths were not 6 feet apart however, not socially distanced very much. Otherwise good service and good food.
Waitress with red hair tattoos an kinda xlarge was very rude. She should not be working there . If you don't like your job an want to be rude to people work on a farm then ?
From time to time the order has not had cheddar cheese in the scrambled eggs, which I asked for, they also said, like windhill restaurant. " Oh it is folded in." but there is no cheese flavor and not even a hint of cheese. I let them get away with this but not anymore, I park Xtra for cheese and I expect what I pay for. If they do not have it then say so. Also this last visit the toast was so hard it broke a ND it could not be buttered and the coffee was so strong I could not drink it, even with 3 creamers. I also bought hot chocolate with whipcream, I do from time to time and then ask for coffee. Did not get coffee till after I was done with my breakfast. The place did not have to s of customers. I also tip well, so I will not be going back to either restaurant for awhile.Really why lie to a Good paying customer? No cheese visible and no cheese flavor. This past time I ordered American cheese. It was not mixed it was laid on top of the eggs. 3 slices. You get scrambled eggs just add it in the scramble. Not on top.
Me and my bf go every week now as we work 3rd shift- great low-key spot and food has greatly improved since a few years ago. Faith is the best server!
