We are frequent customers of bulldog and it’s really hit or miss as far as the service. The manager was extremely unprofessional and not helpful. I had ordered a 23oz draft and the waitress accidentally brought a 16. The manager happened to stop by our table and said he was going to “fix it”. After another 10 minutes I had to ask again for the proper size drink from our waitress. She seemed new and unsure how to handle things. We also had a 20% off coupon. When we noticed our discount wasn’t 20%, the manager came over to ARGUE with us about how it never includes alcohol, which was not written on the coupon. He was rude and confrontational. When he came back to our table, after he had physically checked our coupon he took the full 20% off— because he was wrong. The difference was FOUR DOLLARS. Never apologized and his attitude makes me never want to come back. The waitress was sweet, but seemed underprepared/ untrained and our service took longer than it should have.
Was a good afterglow to a class reunion. Plenty of distanced tables/booths, great french dip and very attentive wait staff! Always make it a point to go there when we stay at the Hampton next door!!! A great way to have a nightcap and not worry about driving!
Stayed at the Hampton which was a 2 minute walk. Food, and service were very good. Staff was very accommodating.
I went in last week and had a great experience. I believe my waitresses name was Ashley. She was very sweet and accommodating and provided us with great service. The only downside of this place is the manager. He checked on our table and was very rude to us. He does not have any people skills. Everyone else was very nice.
Very friendly and attentive waitress. That's always a good way to start a restaurant visit. Menu is pub food which we knew it would be. Both our meals were tasty, nicely presented. Beer was also good.
DO NOT GO HERE ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE A GROUP OF 12 OR MORE! We had a group of 13 even called before we came and the manager said it was okay. Not only did we barley get refills two of us didn’t get our food and we went up several times about the missing food only to be told we were liars from the manager. The manager could care less that his restaurant provided poor service. On top of all that each bill we had included a $5 fee for having a large group.. that’s $35 JUST BECAUSE WE HAD 13 PEOPLE! Plus a 3% COVID charge. When we said we’re not paying the COVID charge the waitress walked away. Save your time and money go support a business that appreciates it. Not this terrible business !
We were seated rather quickly but ended up waiting 20 minutes just to get someone to acknowledge us...even after I had spoke to the manager regarding a gross mess under our table. He got it cleaned, but nobody came back to get even a drink order. Table next to us already had their drinks and ordered their food. As we were getting up to leave someone finally came over so we decided to stay....BIG mistake! Mozzarella sticks were burnt. Fish fry was super greasy and the fries were cold. Asked for a new batch of fries and they tasted as if someone has just thrown some old fries back in the fryer for a few minutes. Terrible! My chicken pot pie was a bland bowl of mush. The bottom of the crust was full of black goop, like they didn't clean the bottom of the skillet. Huge disappointment!
First time and will not be the last. Attracted by the Monday burger special to find a large selection of local pours including Bulldog branded beers. Food was prompt and service continued up tempo throughout the meal. Recommendation was on point and portions did not disappoint especially parmesan flavored fries. Saw a restaurant area far enough away from the bar and high tops to enjoy a sedate dinner. Maybe a challenge during March Madness but not likely a miss from the menu, pours and wait staff. Maybe even a slam dunk.
First time there. Pleasantly surprised. Will definitely go back. I had a great salad with grilled chicken. My other half had an awesome hamburger! So big that he took half home. Same with my Salad. We will go back soon?
Wish I could give it no stars. I went here a few years ago had a burger it was horrible. Didn't go there ever again till the other day because of a funeral. Not only did it take forever. Which I kind of understand because of our group size but it still took 1:30 mins to get my food and when I did. It was horrible. The most bland and dry tasting Mac and cheese ever. The worst. Don't ever go there. And apparently they ran out of meatballs. Like really, meatballs.
