The fried chicken was too dry (overcooked) plus I got three white pcs and I like dark. I was willing to eat the two dark but didn't get a thigh. The fish fillet dinner was cooked nicely but not very seasoned (same with the chicken - not seasoned enough). The baked beans were excellent and salads were really good with fresh lettuce and good dressings. Everyone was super nice. Place was clean.. We had a wait but it was their busiest day.
Went to eat here this evening and was turned away @ 7:20 pm even though the sign says they close @8:00 pm. All of the waitresses were standing behind the cash register. We were told that they were supposed to close @ 7pm. We were told they were short staffed
I absolutely love this place!! Prime rib night is tough enough to make your own boot and they will not answer the phone to take any other order. DO NOT HAVE THE PRIME RIB unless it is better inside. OUTSIDE IS HORRIBLE!
Great Southern Illinois BBQ restaurant. Food is always excellent, big portions, and lots of menu options. Try their daily specials. You won't be disappointed. Great pies to top it off. Also, sweet tea made right.
This place is fully gross , I only gave them 1 star because my waitress was friendly. The steak was so dry it felt like jerky and my husband had the fish he said it tasted like it was cooked in really old oil . There was meat bones on the floor and the floor was slippery with filth . It was the worst restaurant I have ever been to and I have dined in 3rd world countries .
Great fish, and the green bean fries are stellar. Recently visited for breakfast and wasn't disappointed by the hash browns and gravy.
Food: Ordered Ribs with fries and baked beans and the BBQ was fantastic, best I've had in awhile and I highly recommend for anyone staying in the area. My friend ordered the All you can eat shrimp, fish and Rib tips and his plate was a huge mound, more food than he could finish.Prices: cheap, full rack with sides was $20, my friends unlimited plate with sides was only $15.Staffing: service was great and very friendly.

They used to be the best but they’ve changed their fish to something like ground up chicken with no taste. It’s disgusting stuff. It’s really sad too, the one in Marion did the same.
