I have tried 5 or 6 times to like this restaurant because it’s so close to our house and would have been perfect coming off the lake. I understand sometimes there is just off days! However the salsa and chips always taste old and the food is not seasoned. The final straw was Saturday when we ordered strawberry Margaritas and they came out with no tequila, just the syrup. Told the waitress there was no tequila she assured us there was 3 shots in each glass then brought us a shot of “tequila” which ended up just being water( we had other tables smell as we could not believe it). Other people on the patio were also complaining about how their margs had no tequila and have been there for almost 1.5 hours waiting on food! Ended up canceling our food and made the 25 minutes drive to La fiesta!

by far the Mexican Restaurant in all of Southern Illinois...everything on the menu is AMAZING ?! staff is beyond friendly and incredible people ! ? 10 out of 10 """" 5 Stars

First I miss Mack's. A great place to stop by for a burger and a beer. This place is a major disappointment. The Service and drinks were good; although weak. The food on the other hand isn't even close to being genuine Mexican food. A Mexican style taco is served in two corn tortillas with onions and cilantro; it is NOT served on a hard shell taco. YIKES! The atmosphere in Mack's was peaceful, this place is now way too bright and claustrophobic.
