If I got a dollar for every curse word that came from behind the counter, my food would have been paid for (32 dollars). Also waited 40 minutes for my order. Don’t recommend the loves park location.
I made a nice order on the app, to get to the restaurant to find the doors locked, with a sign on the door saying no one has a work ethic! Drive thru was open, fairly well backed up, just to be told they dont serve the items I bought and paid for on the app. Got subbed plain pie and chicken when I was supposed to get a shrimp tackle box and berry beignets. Really not happy, I didnt want chicken today, and they advertise the tackle box!
If I could put 0 stars I would. Worst service out of any restaurant I’ve ever been to in the Rockford area. NEVER DoorDash food here. There is a wait for the person receiving the food and a wait for the person DoorDashing. Avoid this location at any cost. Food wait is horrible, can be up to an hour. Employees are always confused and have a lack of communication, which causes them to throw out perfectly good food, not tell the customers, and have to remake it 30 minutes later. Absolutely atrocious. Only go to Popeyes if you have an hour to wait and potentially get the wrong food. The food is definitely good though when they get it right.
Just ewww. We ordered through the drive-thru and waited about 15 minutes for our food. I got tired of sitting there and decided to go inside. Huge mistake!!! It's like they hired people that don't know how to handle food properly. No hair/beard nets or even gloves for those being hands-on with the food. Two of the employees one I believe being a cook went outside to have a cigarette they came back in but didn't wash their hands just went back to work. The other associate was scratching her face and then proceeded to complete our order. We had to wait for biscuits and a guy came around the corner sweating profusely carrying them. We ended up eating very little and throwing the rest away. Now I'm feeling a little queasy to my stomach hours after and if it's food poisoning I definitely know where I got it from. If you don't care who's handling your food and how they're handling it just stay in the Drive-Thru don't go inside. It was a waste of $25 honestly. I don't know if I need to contact the health department or just leave it be but never to return.
For the past three weeks, they have been out of chicken. Only spicy tenders and nuggets available. Due to shortages, they claimed. One week, no sides available either. Only one kind of sauce and only three drinks available. A few weeks before that we got there an hour and a half after they opened, and were told that only one person showed up for work. Complaints to the management do nothing.
This is the worst Popeyes I’ve ever been to. We had to wait over 30 minutes for our food, drove home only to realize we were missing half our chicken. We drove back only to realize (after waiting an additional 20 min inside) that they were completely out of chicken. Like absolutely NONE cooked and ready to be served. They said it would be a 45 minute wait for any chicken to be ready. Absolutely ridiculous. And this isn’t the first time we’ve had to wait an excessive amount of time for CHICKEN at a CHICKEN RESTAURANT. This was one of the worst fast food experiences I’ve ever had. This Popeyes is an embarrassment to the franchise.
Don't expect to the drive through to be quick. First they'll make you wait in a drive through line for 30 minutes then they'll tell you it's cash only at the window.... waste of frickin time. Love the chicken though
Waited 35 minutes in the drive thru....ugh.Ordered three 3 piece meals with beans/rice and potatoes....Received: three boxes with 2 pieces of chicken and a biscuit, 1 potatoes, 2 rice/beans. The entire order was incorrect and missing items. But here is the kicker....tried to call, and the phone number isn't in service (?). Wow.
Food is great! The service at this facility is terrible. So today when I pulled up the drive up menu is destroyed, sign says pull up to window to order. Pull up behind another truck, and wait, and wait, and wait. Two other cars pull up behind me and then leave after 8 minutes. I finally back out to go inside. Girl behind counter is sitting in chair waiting for who knows what. Gets up to take my order. It's ready in just one minute. Girl at drive up window just standing there waiting for the truck that was in front of me food. I see shrimp getting packed up and off he goes. Oh I forgot another employee standing outside in the front of the building smoking. Could they not figure out to have the first guy pull up and bring order out when it's done? Lost a least two other customers. I'm glad I went inside to get mine. But come on people all these people standing or sitting around while people are leaving your business because people are too lazy to walk outside to hand someone there food. Oh ya it was 48 degrees today. This is not the first time I have had terrible service at this location.
Generally, I find Popeye's chicken to be saltier than I like. But, this day, I bought a family dinner, brought it home, and we devoured it like rabid wolves. Good! This was the mild breading option with mashed potatoes and cole slaw. Sadly, I still prefer the biscuits from Bojangles, but we don't have one of those here, and I won't touch Popeye's dirty rice with a 10 foot pole.
