We decided to dine here for our anniversary as we had enjoyed a previous visit with friends. The most appropriate word to describe our visit was "awkward".We got seated right away. The guy who seated us asked us if we wanted to order drinks. We responded that we just wanted water. We picked up our menus and he stood there waiting to take our order. We explained that we needed time to look at the menu so he finally left the table. Two other different guys came to ask if we wanted drinks. Nope for the second and third times. Still happy with water but we did order an appetizer.I had questions about the menu. The descriptions are not good. "Frontier style" - what does that even mean? And there are all these little green and red dots along side half the items on the menu with no key to tell what they mean. I've seen many menus and these made no sense. We decided on the vegetable and chicken selections on the Thali part of the menu. Whichever guy came to the table, we told him our order. Surprise! They no longer serve those meals. So, back to the menu and we decided on some basic dishes. We figured they were served with rice, right? Nope. Rice is an additional charge. That is like serving a burger with charging extra for the bun. It just feel like they nickel and dime you. Add $2 to each meal and serve it with rice. As a customer, it feels better. The food was okay. The appetizer was the best part of the meal. I couldn't wait to get out of there. Whoever is running that place should step back and gets someone who knows about restaurants and customers there to run it.Happy Anniversary to us. ?
Excellent Indian food and I recommend you dine at Desi Accent! Our party of 12 had lunch at Desi Accent today and we had a wonderful meal. The lunch buffet was hot, flavorful, included a variety of options, and was well attended to by the staff. Personally my favorite dish was the Tandoori Chicken.I can also recommend the Mango Lassi which was the perfect temperature and consistency. We had a member of our party with a lactose intolerance and the front of house warmly walked them through the buffet and explained which dishes were dairy free. The dining room and bathrooms are spacious, clean, and well maintained.Thank you for hosting our family gathering and we will be back.
One of my favorite Indian restaurants not only in the Chicagoland area but in the greater Midwest. Every single dish I’ve tried has been bursting with flavor and subtly. Not only is the food excellent, but the staff is kind, patient and never pushy. They do a great job helping you find your ideal level of spice and as someone who loves heat, that’s helpful to find the perfect balance. The restaurant itself is decorated in a cute way with fun Indian content always on display on the TVs toward the front. I’d definitely recommend anyone in the area or in town to stop by - the food is truly excellent.
I can not express how good the food is. It’s a beautiful restaurant, great friendly staff and the owner is welcoming. The goat biriyani I’d by far my fav dish here.
Delicious food very tasty, yummy, mouth-watering, very polite servers, pleasant and enjoyable restaurant to dine in.
Food was very good. Really liked the Indian beers. Samosas good. Lamb Vindaloo spicy and tender. Butter chicken excellent. Service was on. Wife had Slum Dog cocktail. Very good and different. Many layers of flavors. Will be going back.

My family just discovered Desi Accent and it is amazing! The flavors were so rich and flavorful and the service was very personable and attentive. Our personal favorites were the Keema Samosas, Dosa, Chicken Curry and Murgh Tikka Malai Masala. It was a great experience and will be going back!
