It was my first time trying shawarma and the food here definitely exceeded my expectation! The beef was super good and the sauce that comes with it made it even better. The worker was also super nice! Definitely will come back again when we visit Illinois in the future!
PHENOMENAL food. This what Middle Eastern food is supposed to be. After having tried the same tasting food at every other restaurant, the seasoning and robust flavor in their meats was what I've always been looking for. The beef shawarma is second to none. A hidden gem is the beef burger on the kids menu. Try it and you'll become a lifer.
Definitely yummy food but the portion size isn't as big as you'd think for the price.
Came here today after 4 years and I don’t know why I waited for so long. This place is amazing. The lamb chops are tender and perfectly flavored. The rice can be eaten as meal itself. The garlic sauce some of the best.
First time stopping here it definitely met my expectations & beyond. I ordered, chicken shawarma, hummus, falafel & fries. Everything, was delicious but chicken shawarma was the highlight from everything I got. Definitely, will be stopping by for dinner quite often. The people who worked there are friendly, smiley & professional.
This place is the perfect light dinner spot. The mix grill combo if perfect for when you want options. All three kabobs were perfectly seasoned and cooked to succulent perfection. Will definitely be coming here once more
I’ve been a regular at Shawarma Express for over two years. It’s possibly one of the better kept secrets in the suburbs; hidden away, non-descript, but serving some of the best Lebanese food in the area. They use wood charcoal to cook all their meats, and with a very light touch of seasoning their food has a unique, delicious flavor.The service here is excellent, and the owner is very high integrity. Food prices had gone up on catering menu items due to inflation, and I had come in expecting the old price on my order. The owner honored the old price as an exception, but informed me that prices are going up.TLDR: Excellent food. Excellent service.
This little gem won’t disappoint you. The meat is fresh and high quality while the flavor is delicious. I could easily eat here several times a week. I accompanied my friend for iftar and upon arrival one of the owners or employees treated us both to a delicious homemade apricot dessert that was topped with pistachio. Andrea the woman who took our order was so kind and helpful. All in all you won’t be disappointed in the place. I would give shawarma express 10 stars if i could.
Came here for the first time today and the parking lot smelled amazing so I had to go in even though I was looking at a few other places to go to. The wrap was amazing and tasteful. In the wrap they actually put enough sauce in there which is a plus and then they also gave me some sauce on the side. I’ll be coming back over here. The food was it worth the wait.
