Absolutely the best I have had in the suburbs.
I have ordered tortas and tacos, both are huge and they offer both "lettuce and tomato" or "cebolla y cilantro" which is awesome. If you dine in the salsas are great,Just have to ask for them for your chips because if not you might just get the one that already on the table but there are more. And they do have horchata and aqua de tamarindo along side the fountain drinks. They do have carnitas as a choice for protein with your tacos or torta which is a plus but they don't have melanesa de pollo, breaded chicken, at least not from what I was provided as an option. The prices are high but well worth the value as I typically eat a torta and a taco or two depending on the size of the torta but with just a torta I have enough cause it's so big.
Food and service is top notch! Great for a quick taste of Mexican eats. Lunch or dinner, we love coming here for a nice and relaxing get together. Their horchata drink is one of the best!
The food is good, but definitely not authentic. Food needs more seasoning. The menu was a bit pricey.
Great food choices….. tacos offer a lot of meat. The burritos and tortas are also very good. Prepare to wait for a table at the Lombard location during lunch hours as it gets busy.
We were out with my husband celebrating our anniversary and we were looking for a place to eat. We found this place he ordered a burrito and I had some tacos dorados dinner. The food was amazing but the best part was their salsa. The salsa de aguacate is the best. And their agua de piña con coco its amazing. Will definitely go back.
Amazing customer centered friendly staff! Happy Birthday Juan on 03/05! Go to the new location in Hoffman Estates (Higgins and Plum Grove Rd next to the Shell Station)
Very friendly staff!! And awesome food ! True mexican flavor !
It's an Americanized Mexican spot. While this can have some negative connotations to it, I'd say there are some positives to it. Free chips and salsa when you dine in. Their horchata machine is self serve... bottomless horchatas anyone? SIGN ME UP.As far as food goes, I've been here on two occasions. The first I had the burrito, which I could've easily forgotten about. Nothing to rave about. On the second visit I opted for the taco plate... man, what a different. As another review had mentioned, the TACOS are where it's at. Go for the corn with your choice of meat topped with onions and cilantro and ask for the bottles of salsa on the side. Go to town and wash it down with unlimited horchata.Lastly, they do sell discounted gift certificates at costco if you're looking for a good deal.'Til next time, cheers!
GOD I love, absolutely LOVE Burrito Parilla. Delicious. Period. Tried different items and none have disappointed. Portions are good so you’ll never leave hungry. They are not a full service Mexican restaurant but what they do, the do fantastically. Price is just above average but not expensive in my opinion. The only thing I hate about BP is it’s location. It literally like 15 miles from my home. I’m from Cicero where there is NO shortage of Mexican food and Barrito Parilla so delicious I’m willing to make the trip to satisfy my craving. If it was in Cicero, I’d be there every day. Also I love the house made chips and salsa when dining in. Can’t forget the chips and salsa?????
