Rare experience. I last had Broosters, 20 long years, ago. I only experienced the Darien Location 20 years ago . I live by Lombard, IL now. This location Today, impressed. I, used to, work at Boston Chicken in 1993. Their chicken, was similar, but? Where is, Boston Chicken now? Broosters is still here. First meal: 1995.
I met the owners father on a flight. I stopped in had a steak and it was phenomenal. Great food, great prices and amazing customer service.
Very good food and good prices! I ordered the half chicken with rice. The salad was my sister's. So don't expect it with your meal. Self-serve fountain drinks made it better! Nice booths or tables to sit at with plenty of parking.
Never understood why a business would want to lose more than half of its customers who voted for Biden by making a false political statement like this. You just lost my business Broosters Lombard!
I have to give a big shout out to Broosters Chicken! You guys have the best food in town for the price! I will continue to come in for both lunch and dinner. I have to laugh about the review written by Kathy regarding the Joe Biden sticker at the register. These reviews are supposed to be about the food and service.
I got the half roasted chicken. I chose mashed potatoes and cole slaw for my sides. It came with garlic toast. My husband got the steak sandwich, which had grilled onions and cheese on it. The only reason for 4 stars is the chicken was extremely small, so I'm glad I order the half because I ate it all! Also, the garlic toast was very mushy and oily. We will be back, but next time I would order the toast crispy to avoid that problem. My husband loved his steak sandwich. For me the American cheese made it way too salty. If I ordered it, i would get no cheese, to bring out the flavor of the onions, or if they offer a different cheese, like mozzarella. A nice homey atmosphere.
Paid $50 for my family to eat here (only 3 meals). My food tasted alright but one of the orders only had a wimpy piece of basically scrap chicken. When we called them to get some reimbursement they were extremely rude and seemingly didn't care that they represent themselves so horribly. If you are okay with being jerked around and lied to as a customer then you'll love this place. I personally would recommend you go to Steamboat BBQ instead, they have great food and service unlike this place.
Tried their chicken for the first time and it was pretty darn good. Very tender, flavourful, and juicy. The soup and sides (baked beans and rice/broccoli mix) were good as well. I'll be back.
Purchased via phone call, steakburger. Thought to add fries, was told they don't sell fries but have mashed potatoes. Got that instead, should have asked for extra gravy. Will have to try again at some point. Great service from person at register, didn't provide name.
Brooster's Open Hearth Chicken is hands down the best dining experience if you're in the mood for a delicious, perfectly prepared meal. The atmosphere is always positive; it's a grade A, 5 star upscale casual restaurant. The succulent chicken literally falls off the bone-it's that good. I LOVE THIS CHICKEN!!! Must try.
