The lenton fish fry is DELICIOUS. The fish is cooked perfectly and the light batter enhances the fish, but doesn't overpower it. I promise you won't leave hungry. Portions are generous and service is outstanding!
My husband's and my favorite Lombard spot! I always go for the Unity Vibration Kombucha Beer, but their wine selection is usually good too. You also have to get their cheese curds. so good. All of their food is awesome. The place has a great ambiance. The owners and staff are super nice! We've been coming here for 6 years and will definitely miss it when we move.
Haven't been here since the Covid shutdown but from what I remember I was impressed with a yummy vegetarian choice and had wanted to go back - but then Covid happened! darn it. I will have to go back soon.
Babcock's is located in what looks like an early 20th century building. The seating area is compact with a small bar, but the servers seem to handle it with ease. This was our first eating at Babcock's since the pandemic hit. It didn't seem to lose a step. Great service, friendly staff, and good food. I had the Green Goddess salad with chicken. It was fresh and loaded with avocado and other veggies. I also enjoyed a Fader lager from a manageable and varied beer list. We had to wait about 10 minutes for a table which was not bad for a Saturday night so we enjoyed at an attached cocktail lounge called The Lilac League. Great place. Deserves it's own writeup.
The burger had good flavor. It's like a smash burger so it's thin. The burger is a bit over priced though. I didn't like the fries, the were kind of soggy. Definitely be better if they par cooked/poached them first to add a crisp. I really like the bacon alot. I probably wouldn't come back but I did enjoy the food.
An amazing place! Our waiter, Luke, was helpful, friendly, and seemed to know just when to make an appearance.The food was delicious, our appetizer arrived within minutes of being ordered, and our food shortly after ordered as well. They have a respectable craft beer selection, and the prices were very reasonable!

Very solid food. I ordered the classic hamburger and it was fantastic. Crispy patty and not too thick, fresh buns, great flavor. Fries were hot. Food arrived very quickly for a Saturday night. My group of 2 was seated immediately. Larger groups will have to wait during busy times. Service was attentive. Overall a positive experience! I will definitely be returning!
