This came highly recommended by some coworkers but it took me a while to come here since I'm mostly unfamiliar with the area.Beyond the classical music that's getting blasted out of one of the nearby stores, The Hungry Mule is a popular casual sit-down American restaurant that serves up comfort classics. Unlike most restaurants, they actually have pictures of all their dishes online, and their burgers are pretty unique.I tried their chicken Parm family deal. Though the selection is slightly limited, the portions were about twice what you can expect had you been to a Rosati's for the first time, and that's saying something. They even included additional packaging just to prevent the salad from being too warm and insulating the hot dishes. Pretty crazy (in a good way) if you ask me.Service seemed extra attentive and polite from the phone call to retrieving the meal. Can't put my finger on why though. Overall I'm not surprised why so many would recommend this restaurant. It's probably a staple for its residents. Props to the restaurant staff and management.
I was desperate for food and ordered this on UberEats. It was one of the best BLTA sandwiches I’ve had from a restaurant ever. I’m just super sad I live in Texas and won’t be able to get it again!! 10/10 will eat again when I come back.
The food was fantastic. I got a hamburger that was cooked perfectly and fries cut and seasoned just the right way. My son got the kids chicken meal, but even the chicken in the kids meal looked flavorful and prepared with care. And speaking of care, a man who I presume is the owner was all over the restaurant doing a little bit of every job, and chatting with some of the customers.There is a bar and slots area completely separate from the restaurant area, I like that it was separate. The dining area in the restaurant is very bright and family oriented.The only drawbacks to here were that the orders took a little longer than most restaurants, perhaps due to a lack of staff. A couple of staff members had that “I’m too good for this…” that many service workers have in Lake County.I would return if I come by Lake Zurich again.

Came here with my family a few weeks ago, overall experience was good!I ordered the Diablo burger, and fair warn, I like spicy food but it sure has a kick! Thankfully I got a shake with it, which was nice and thick and a decent size.It can get a bit noisy on either side, and we did wait about 35 minutes for our food, but its a genuinely decent stop in the area. probably in the top 10 burgers I've had in the area.
First experience with this restaurant last night. We ordered delivery via GrubHub. I had a bleu cheese burger and made the mistake of ordering an extra meat patty not paying attention to how big ONE was. The burger was incredible but with 2 patties it was impossible to eat easily!! So delicious! Already champing at the bit to go back. My wife had chicken tenders and she loved them too. Big thumbs up to The Hungry Mule!!!
Dinner didn’t went quite as planned, chicken was undercooked, hard and pink in color in all meals, chicken sandwiches and parmigiana. Next time I’d rather wait couple more minutes and have it cooked or will choose another diner.
Be Prepared to pay $30 for 2 burgers, there menus is quite pricey! I got 2 only 5oz burgers and although though they were DELICIOUS, just feels over priced. My burger was cooked perfectly and the sweet potato fries were great!
Amazing unique menu. Good value. Super friendly staff. They even have a bar and slot machines. Definitely going to make this a regular lunch spot.
