I travel for work and it is always nice to stumble upon a place like this! First off, the bartender was awesome, he let me know about the area and good spots to try. Next, the prices are very reasonable (cash only ATM inside). I want to say that I only leave reviews for places that are delicious and this place definitely exceeds that expectation. I often look for a place that had healthy meals due to traveling, so I ordered the salmon (blackened) with mashed potatoes, veggies and vegetable cheese soup. It was ALL phenomenal. Come try this place, you won’t be disappointed.

I’ve been wanting to go here for sometime now. Soooo glad I did. The atmosphere was comfortable and the ladies their where so friendly. The beef dumpling soup was really good. Not something you usually get for soup at places. The rib-eye was excellent!!! The stuffed cabbage was good. Needed a bit more seasoning but good. Definitely will be going back!

Love the staff, they are always happy and great service, and the food is good too.Two thumbs up ????

Cute place. I liked it a lot and the food was good. Corner diner type of feel.

Any place that takes the time to make good soup and pie I love and kimmie is the best

My wife and I ate lunch at this restaurant after I read some good reviews about the place. We both ordered the chopped steak and mushroom plate. It was unbelievably delicious. I'll repeat that: It was unbelievably delicious. The restaurant was cozy and comfortable. It was a little busy, and it took a little longer than I expected for our food to arrive. It was, however, well worth the wait. We look forward to going back, very soon. I highly recommend to everyone who reads this review, eat at the Thayer Bros Deli & Grill.

Very inviting and workers are very warming I catered from the everything was great.....but there mac n cheese ? was smackingly awesome with a kick

Great food and great service !

Great homey feeling. You feel comfortable upon walking in and this is definitely a Joliet joint. Food was authentic and homemade. If you want a break from a "retail" restaurant like TGIF stop in and relax. The onion rings were fresh, thumbs up on the bloody mary, and yummy sandwichs. Everything was freshly made. I am definitely returning.

Best chicken noodle soup I've ever put in my mouth. Real authentic decent people doing great service too. Will be back.
