This is the best Pop’s, in the area. I will go out of my way, to come here, and I come here frequently. The beef is always tender, lean, and generous. Fries are always fresh and made as I requested,and I only have had friendly, polite service. Keep up the great job, I will continue to be a loyal customer.
Our first time here. Beef sandwhich is very good and juicy. Their beef juice is not pepper flavor strong, has a pleasant flavor and their hotdogs are nothing to talk about. Didn't have that snap when you bite into it no flavor.We love grilled onions, theirs just didn't taste good. Polish tasted like Scott Patterson polishes and same no snap or taste that would make one go back to another. Rate Pops three stars.
Definitely a different spin on the Italian Beef I'm used to. When you first get the beef, you immediately see the difference in the traditional Giardiniera hot peppers. I do like the crunch that Pops celery based pepper mix has, but it's definitely missing the heat I like with my beefs. The other characteristics are there though, just missing that pepper heat.
Such a disappointment for a first timer who has heard it was one of the top places in Chicago to try. First the girl taking the order was not friendly in the slightest nor wanted to answer any simple questions. When we got to the window I tried giving her a chance to redeem her friendliness to her customers by letting f her know my husband is from Texas and this was his first time here trying the food, she just turned and shut the window.We also asked for all peppers just no green peppers and we got a solid chunk of a green pepper on my sandwhich.Maybe it's just this location , I surely hope so. We'll give it another chance elsewhere.
Ate there before and loved it but today I ordered a ribye steak sandwich and it tasted like they haven't cleaned off the grill it was disgusting!!
My wife and I decided to give Pop's a try today. Called order in for pickup. Very efficient service. We tried a double cheese burger and a gyro. Both were excellent. Gyro was very tasty and cheeseburger met our standard for a very good cheeseburger. We will be making this place a regular on our fast food list.
Really good food and prices we love there Italian beef , sausage , breaded steak , gyros and much more everything is so good I highly recommend enjoy ??
Just went to this Pop's for the first time since it opened and will never be back. The fries were not fresh and very hard. The breaded steak sandwich was very dry and not much cheese or sauce. Also ordered a bacon cheeseburger and that was so overcooked and dry. The cooks need better training. Never had such horrible food at a Pop's before. We normally go to Romeoville Pop's and they are awesome. I will drive a little farther for better service and food.
It may look like you average beef stand, but this Pop’s Italian Beef is anything but! I was quickly greeted by a friendly staff and wow is this place clean. The beef combo and crispy french fries were delicious, especially drenched in cheese. My daughter talked me into getting a chocolate shake that is out of this world good. I grabbed an order of soup for dinner on my way out. This place has everything!! This is by far the best Pop’s location that I’ve ever eaten at. What an experience.
