Definitely a hidden gem in Joliet off the beaten path. Food is amazing, the saganaki is probably one of the best I've ever had anywhere, the mixed drinks are amazing, the staff is amazing, ESPECIALLY the bald middle aged male waiter with the tattoos. He is phenomenal with the service he provides. Only thing this restaurant needs to improve is the men's bathroom which is absolutely disgusting and totally inadequate for the demand (only one stall and one urinal right next to the sink so there's nowhere to move in there) and the parking is a nightmare as there's not enough spaces and the lot is routinely full so there's nowhere to park. Other than for those two issues, this is a great restaurant. One of my favorites. I wish they'd open up another location over in Orland Park or near it so I wouldn't have to drive so far to enjoy that homemade turkey dinner which is better than most family's Thanksgiving turkey dinners.
Had not eaten inside Metro since before the pandemic so it was so nice to come at 6pm on Friday see that they were busy but we quickly were seated at a booth. The new, to us, slightly more limited menu was still full of appetizing favorites and some new dishes. Our sandwiches were excellent and service was friendly and efficient.
Love love love this place! If me and my husband are ever in joliet we must eat here. We can never choose what to get, and always end up getting more than we can eat so we always have leftovers.
D E L I S H !!1st time here. I had the meatloaf with mash potato with gravy w/ mushrooooooms. ? then finished it off with the Atomic Parfait. The atmosphere was pleasant, cozy, we were there for 4 hrs just talking with my bff and our husbands.
Food is all really good. Staff is polite and on top of the service. Prices are very reasonable for the quality and portions. Highly recommend eating here to anyone.
Love the atmosphere and the server been there for 11 years she gave informative info about the menu very pleasant I think they had a bad night cooking The fire crackers cauliflower had great flavor cauliflower was hard I had the meatloaf a lot of food but it was warm not hot I gave 4 stars to the server I will go back I’m looking forward to the Thanksgiving dinner of turkey dressing and all the trimmings
I wanted a Ruben Sandwich on St Paddy’s and it was 8 pm maybe that’s why my order was not worth what I paid actually it was one of the worst Rubens I’ve ever had and actually I used Door Dash their service was great the Sandwich from Metro was awful. The meat was dried out and extremely chewy with fat and gristle throughout the entire sandwich. The pictures of the Ruben looked great on their restaurant web site along with all of the great reviews but this meal was a major ripoff and truly I would been better off going to Arbys but again perhaps it’s because it was actually on a busy night in Joliet and close to 8 pm when I ordered the meal on line but I’ll stick with Arbys for the Ruben from now on this sandwich from the Metro was was awful. Very disappointed.
Went for dinner with my co-workers. We were either very hungry or the food was really good, no one had any leftovers!I had the chicken and strawberries salad, good size, lots of chicken, however, I like a variety of greens in my salad, this had mostly iceberg lettuce. My co-workers were happy with their food.Didn't take too long for our food to arrive. Friendly staff.
Nothing special. Would not go back. Waited an hour for food that didn’t even come out hot. Food was plain and not much flavor. We ordered a panini, grilled cheese, and a burger. Not sure why they even ask how you want the burger cooked if they just bring it out well done. Not worth the trip.
Good food and service was very good. But I was rather uncomfortable due to none of staff having masks on. Most likely will not return until more safety measures are in place and are compliant with mask mandate.
