Where to start?! The best part? Everything! The waitress was beyond awesome. Super friendly and chatted with us about our trip. She was attentive and served us very well. We ordered carne asada gorditas, tacos de carne asada and a torta and it was all delicious! We also ordered an agua de jamaica, pineapple and horchata drinks. The salsas were amazing by the way! The worst part? Nothing. We are planning on coming here again! They also have an outdoor area.We came back! I highly recommend the specials. You get SO much food for an amazing price. Our waitress was just as amazing as the first one we had and we had such a great time here…again!

Tacos el Norte has really improved!! During Covid, the orders were messy and gloppy, but now, wow! It’s delicious, well put together, quickly delivered, and seems to be back to the place we knew we could get delicious tacos and specials from!

Great dinner after a day at Great Wolf Lodge. Busy when we walked in, but seated right away. Large variety of foods ordered, and all were excellent, fresh and tasty. 1 mile off I-94 near Gurnee IL.We'll be back, when in the area, live in Milwaukee WI.

I prefer the Round Lake location. The Gurnee locations' steak nachos were very greasy, and the Horchata tasted watery. But the server was nice. I won't go to this location again.

Great food, and drinks, fantastic service

I did enjoy the food although it took the waitress awhile to come get our orders. I chalked it up to them not being use to having people at the bar. Their focus was on the tables

Good service and Mexican food is tasty.

I ordered 2 meals and an appetizer. I only received 1 green sauce and 1 red sauce and my appetizer was only 1x quesadilla which normally is fine if its large, but it was tiny. The 2 meals were decent at best.

Good food and a nice environment. Not the best I've had but definitely above average and worth repeat visits. I really enjoyed how the place was decorated.

Overpriced, low-quality food. We went here yesterday and ordered burritos. There was a ton of salt in them - I wonder if the cook was angry. We told our waitress and she changed them and this time there was much less meat in them.Prices are higher than expected and next time, we shall just go to a chain Mexican restaurant. Also there is no way to send them feedback.*Update:* The owner has posted a reply below and he claims, "The salt content of the meat was checked and it was very mild". At the restaurant, they themselves acknowledged it was too salty. The owner is actually calling us liars!!
