How would I describe my experience with Tacos El Durango? This was the burrito I never wanted to end! I came in with high expectations from the ratings, which didn't disappoint. It may have been pricey since I ordered a Grilled Chicken Burrito, but I'm not kidding when I said this was the most flavorful burrito I've ever had! From the start, I placed an order over the phone; the cashier was kind, accommodating, and gave excellent service while being swift in the timing of the food. After picking it up, the establishment was clean and small, giving me a little eatery-to-family restaurant vibe which I found cozy. After picking up my food, I was ready to indulge in something I had never expected. After unwrapping and from the first bite, I was stunned! The grilled chicken was seasoned tremendously, the toppings weren't lacking in that regard, and the overall taste of my meal was outstanding. Every bite had a crunch, and there weren't many flaws nor a dull moment did I not enjoy what I was eating. If you're in the area, I'd be slightly wary of the price, but everything is getting expensive. But I highly recommend going to Tacos El Durango, and I'm strongly considering returning!
This place is a hidden gem in Gurnee! It has absolutely delicious traditional Mexican food! This Is a small family owned restaurant with no more than 10 tables. While eating there with my husband recently I commented to him that the sopes were so good that it tasted like his mom could have made them. Overhearing this, our server replied, “That’s because MY mom made them!” You have to give this place a try. While somewhat pricey for Mexican food it is definitely worth it.
Food wasn't too bad but the prices were outrageous. Service was fast and friendly but the absurd prices will keep me from coming back

We’ve been coming here for awhile and the food is always great! From breakfast to lunch they never disappoint. The owners (young man) are great, and pretty much know what we’re going to order when we call.
Very good food and quick. Recommend the combo plate with some guac and salsa on the side.
We stopped here on our way home after Christmas festivities and we definitely will be stopping again. This is such a great little find. The food came very quickly, it was fresh and super delicious. I got a chicken taco and a vegetarian tostada and my husband got a steak taco and a BBQ pork taco. All seasoned well. The guacamole was amazing and very fresh and the bottles of sauce they serve with the food are soooooo good. The prices were perfect. Not only was the food delicious, the service was top notch. I should have taken pix.
Prices are high. $17 for lunch did not include a drink. Two tacos and one order of guacamole w/ chips. Too much for me to return. But the place is clean. Food was tasty.
Family run business. Quality food, very clean, and good service. Great variety! A must try!
