My niece, who cares about the rainforest, saw a Youtuber reviewing these cafes and decided she wanted to go, so we went out of our way on a recent road trip to bring her to the Rainforest Cafe. Shame on them! Even my niece could see that this place was selling plastic kitsch at stupid prices, which actually hurts the rainforest and does nothing to preserve it. The place was loud - the soundtrack was classic rock and 80s pop. Pretty incongruous. The food was terrible and exceedingly overpriced. And though we had a reservation, and we were on time, and though they were not busy when we arrived, they said our table wasn't ready and we had to wait 15 minutes - in the gift shop. Some of the ambiance was cool - the thunderstorm that cycled every 15 minutes, and the sky painted overhead. The animals were over the top and not realistic. They had huge fish aquariums - but not a single fish inside. ?? Overall it was weird, and not in a good way, and definitely not worth the money, or the time. And they are shamelessly making money off the rain-forest instead of doing something to educate and help preserve it.
Had granddaughters who wanted to dine here earlier but was told we needed reservation. Made reservation for 5 not really expecting much in way of tasting menu but was pleasantly surprised! Great hamburger, big portions and several kids meal selections. I had chicken fried chicken that was the BEST I ever had with astral mashed potatoes and fresh green beans with mushrooms and red onions! Will be back without grandkids to order again. Our server Miguel was attentive.
Went for a fun dining experience!! 7 year old loved everything about it!! Food was good and our server was very good!!
We drove about an hour to come here for my son's birthday. The greeter was super friendly and terrific. The waitress was good enough. We did have to ask for napkins and water refills never appeared. Then we waited nearly half an hour to get the bill paid. I would have liked to get that done a lot faster. The food was just decent. My Pastalaya was supposed to have andouille sausage and that was the main reason I ordered that dish. It was more than evident that they put cheap Polish Kielbasa in the dish instead. I should have returned it but it was a birthday so I decided not to make an issue out of it. The restaurant should note that customers are not stupid and do notice. I will certainly NEVER order that dish again. Overall the experience was a meh. My son enjoyed it but the adults not as much.
The food was good. Service was ok. The problem was the kitchen. We had 7 people. They made 6 of our meals. They never made the 7th entree. We had to wait 20 minutes to get the last entree after everyone else. They seemed very understaffed. We had fun, and our waitress was trying, and they compensated us for the very late delivery so it turned out fine.
Food was fine and the portions were good, but really expensive. The service was abysmal and got ignored practically the whole night. The rainforest theme was cool, but i will not be returning again.
We love Rain Forest Cafe, this one was a little older but still a lot of fun. The animatronics went of regularly and were a lot of fun for kids, we enjoyed souvenir cups too. Food is good but pricey, but the service made it worth it.
Food was marginal. Cold grilled cheese. Forgot r milk from r my granddaughter. Asks twice. Server had an attitude like we were a bother. My granddaughters first experience. We were celebrating kindergarten. Server was just not nice.
Still no fish in the tanks. Food was just ok. Service was great. Won't be back until the fish are- was the major reason for bringing the kids.
Our first time and we were very excited to try it and traveled for it . However we waited forever to get a table even with a reservation! My sons burgers were completely over done and he couldnât eat them! My chicken salad had chewy chicken. For the cost of the meals VERY disappointed. Our waiter was nice but extremely slow service for EVERYTHING!! Not a good experience at all!!
