This place used to save my hide when I was running late to work, many years ago. I stopped by to try the ube donut. SO GOOD. The staff is really cool, as well. Make sure to get there early if you want the ube donut.
Fantastic, classic donut shop. A wide variety of from scratch donuts that ranges from a classic plain to fruity pebbles on top. I would recommend getting there early. The parking lot is tight and getting in and out can be difficult. Well worth your time. I highly recommend it.
The donuts weren't soft! I heated it, but after 5 min it became hard again. So the batter wasnt correctly made! It had the sweet taste but definitely not unique! Wouldn't return! Staff was helpful and service was nice!
Just the best doughnuts anywhere around the are. I'm a huge fan of apple fritters, and they are crispy, tender and delicious!! Oh, and the family that runs the place are very warm and kind every time.
Best old fashion donuts. Period. This i know. You need this in your life.
I love this place! The staff is super super helpful and the donuts are amazing! Try something unique, they're maple bacon taste like waffles and bacon at the same time! I also love the 3D Pebble flavored ones. Try the coffee totally worth the trip to Gurnee.
Best Food: Maple Bacon DonutGreat Food: Ube Donut with Toasted Nuts or Fruity Pebbles, Red Velvet, Blueberry DonutsThings to Note: Ube can sell out quickly on weekends, so go in early. They keep their specialty donuts in the back, so make sure to ask for what they have. They will usually have itBest donuts by far!! I highly recommend getting the maple bacon donut. That is the best donut by far. Their ube donuts are only sold on the weekends and they are also very delicious. You need to come in early, because they will sell out by noon. Their donut cakes are also a must get for parties. $15 for a donut cake that comfortably feeds 6.
We are donut snobs. These are amazing. The texture, the flavors and the frosting. We didn't get an Ube donut - the guy in front of us took the last one (which is my fault because I let him go first) but the rest did not disappoint. I asked about Bavarian creme and they didn't have any so they filled two right then and there. We bought 2 dozen and about wiped them out which kinda stinks because you gotta get there EARLY. It's a small joint and small staff so they sell out quick. They are expensive but you get what you pay for. We were also over 2 hours from home on vacation so it's not like we can just pop over there. We will be back. These things are incredible. If you find better, please tell me where so I can try those.
Always awesome donuts. Locally owned independent shop with consistently tasty donuts. They do the traditional donuts really well but also some but also have some less common and yummy stuff like the ube donut (weekends only) and my personal fav the BACON MAPLE bar. Highly recommended.
Gurnee Donuts has entered my weekly routine! I love their donuts!! Highly recommend any of the chocolate frosted yeast donuts or apple fritters!
