What can I say? It's chick-fil-a! Arguably one of the best fast food chain restaurants out there. The food consistently good, the service is ultra friendly.BUT this one location for some reason, has this Mickey mouse corn maze drive-thru operation for years!! I don't get it, they're the only ones that leave five parking spots open for the dine-in customers and the rest of parking lot is for the drive-thru?!?
Waited 30 minutes for a sandwich, it came out wrong and the manager argued with me and didn't fix the mistake. I didn't want mayo on my sandwich and it came out 2 times wrong. I didn't want to waste my time in a third attempt.
Waited outside for 20 minutes after ordering through their app. There were too many cars in an assigned space so we parked close by and turned on our lights as the app described. Apparently the workers didn’t care enough to look right next to the numbered spaces since our food went cold on their counters since they were too lazy to even check. Asked for new fries even though everything was cold at this point. Horrible. What do you expect from teenagers though.
The girl that bagged my order looked right at me through the window like she didn’t like me and purposely put both of our breakfast bowls in our bag upside down. I was so nice to the girl at the window and she was nice too but the girl bagging had an issue with me for some reason.
Ordered food 40 minutes before they closed and the manager flat out LIED to us because they didn’t want to to fulfill the order as it was placed. I get the grilled nuggets for my dog with no marinade all the time and he said they come with the marinade on them from distribution. That is a flat out lie and when i called him out and told him he’s full if shish the real truth came out “we would have to wash out the nugget bin and open a new bag and we aren’t going to do that.”Funny didn’t know chik filet hired teenagers to determine what items they sell at what times and lie about the food in order to not have to work as hard. Absolutely despicable. I know two different people that own chik filet locations and would absolutely fire this kid for that so i hope he loses his job. Not because my dog isn’t going to get her chicken but because he tried to flat out lie to us.
Amazing food and customer service something that Chick-fil-A has always been know for and this place was no different. Just make sure you come before rush hour because it can get packed.
This location (Gurnee) has been open for more than 6 mos, but still refuses to open the restaurant for indoor dining. The store in Vernon Hills has been open for about the same amount of time, but has indoor dining. So, unless you just want takeout, go to Vernon Hills.
Ordered 3 of one item, but they only charged and gave 1. Ended up having to go through the line again however was much longer this time. Other than that, food was hot and fresh.
They have pretty solid food and chicken sandwiches the quality of any other chick-fil-a (which means pretty good). However, the server forgot to give us straws when we ordered milkshakes.
I just went there about 10 minutes before closing, which I feel really bad doing, because I’ve been in the service industry for a long time so I understand. I was really impressed with how polite everyone was, how fast the service was, and how hot and fresh the food was, since I was that annoying person who came at closing time. A lot of other places around here will refuse to help you 10 minutes before close, or the food will be cold, and service usually isn’t good. I was pleasantly surprised when I had great service and great food. Thank you so much!! ?
