Well this is another first for us.Actually I was on the little mall to shop at Masala groceries, when I noticed that the adjacent Sushi place had expanded and increased the menu too.So I felt the urge to try, seeing the food picture on the windows looked so appetising.First of all it was fantastic, no question about it. However we were a bit overwhelmed with the menu.Next time, we'll be wiser and order dufferently. That said the food was so good, well presented and filling. One thing worth noting about ethnic foods, if people of that particular culture are eating there, you know it will hit the spot for quality and value. I have long opted for only eating in cultural restaurants that are supported by their own community.Fusion is OK for the confused, as for me I like genuinely authentic and this was real and exquiste.
I had dinner of shiroi $50 for 2 peopleFood looking good, smell also good50% fhis was OK another 50% no goodFish tasting is like in water get out.... you know what does mean?Just water tasting. Tuna was just water and cheap fish use it.Starters were good main was no good.Maybe your order live fish more money I am sure you will have better fish food. And I wait long time spicy soup and soup taste is all MSG.No recommend it
My NEW favorite!! One of TOP Japanese restaurant in Chicago!! You must visit this place!! New owner welcomes so kindly and the new hot spicy seafood pot and live fish sashimi was so delicious!! Karaoke is ready for family party!! Colorful lights and great romantic interior with Cherry Blossom trees !! The new atmosphere of the restaurant is so great!! MUST VISIT THIS NEW PLACE!! I loved this new style.
The Best Boat I’ve ever had!!!!!! High quality sushi!
Purposly left out a b1g1 sushi roll in order to get full price. Did not provide sauces requested or paid for. The sushi was mediocre at best. Look elsewhere for sushi.
Waited for about 45 min to get 3 sushi rolls which all tasted cheap and were falling apart. Two of the rolls only came with 4 pieces which was not specified on the menu. Our water was never refilled and we were not checked on at all. $50 spent just to leave and go buy Taco Bell.
Terrible attention, please do not go to eat at this restaurant, they are harassing you to order and they speak badly to you. We couldn't order even though there was plenty of time before closing and we were rushed from the start. 1 score is a lot.
I ordered sashimi to go for my mother in law; surprised at the quality and quantity for the price I paid. I stopped going to this place ever since the owner was changed due to the negative experiences my siblings had. However, I went there a few weeks ago because it was conveniently located and Bada Sushi in Niles was closed on Sundays. On top of this experience, I also found out a week later that my credit card was charged $50 more. I called the restaurant, and the owner apologized but didn't know how to correct this issue even though I had a receipt. I had to dispute with my CC company and get it resolved.
Great ambience. Wonderful place for lunch with a friend. Extensive menu and good service. Thank you!
overall: just okay food and pretty bad servicesushi was just okay, I expected better from a more authentic place like this. the servers also mostly ignored us- they didn't come over to our table without us calling them over, and then she told us to raise our hands if we needed her, then she ignored our raised hand for 5 or 10 minutes anyways...
