Nice lunch on out side deck. Friendly staff. Good sandwiches, cold beer!
Neighborhood spot with great service. Our server, who is a young guy, was running 6 tables outside and 2-3 inside and was still able to tend all tables as needed. Def recommend for anyone who is near the downtown Glenview area! Burgers are great here!
Grandpa's remains a good "go-to" place for a bar and pretty decent bar food. Service can be "iffy" at times, but staff is always friendly. Free parking and probably the only bar in the area that stays open late on weekends.
A delightful Glenview eating locale. Excellent service, delicious food choices, relaxing outdoor seating, free on street parking, & great spot for train spotting. We will be back soon!
This is a great relaxed place to go for a nice meal at a reasonable price. The food is always exceptionally good with great service, and outdoor dining when the weather is good is always a pleasure. I really enjoy coming here.
I ordered the Italian beef and found it mostly bread. Definitely not your traditional Chicago style Italian beef. This was my first time here, and I'll give it another shot. However, for $11 and a picture online that shows beef overflowing the bread, I expected more.
Great food and drink! Very friendly service..
Can’t beat a local watering hole with great fish & chips
Back after a long time on Valentine's Day. Surprisingly quiet for lunchtime. Staff as always agreeable and friendly. Daughter had fish and chips and found the fish to be soft but firm and moist. The chips were golden brown and crisp, Their batter could be improved in order to get to get flaky crisp, less oily coating. The Grandpa's burger is a good size 1/2 lb, maybe a little overdone for "medium" on a good bun but is nothing special. Served uninspired with lettuce and two slices of tomato (both fresh.) No sliced onion. Had to ask for mayo. Side of pickle slice. Fries, as above, quite good.
Violently disrespectful staff. Called in to a worker named “rob” I asked until what time they are open until and got back “an hour” as a response. 25 minute drive later I walk into 2 employees telling me they are closed, I asked who picked up the phone to no answer “instead a got sorry closed now” w a smirk on his face. when I told them I had been told they were open until ~11 Rob responded with “Shit happens” alongside a careless shoulder shrug. If you are in the Glenview area i strongly advise to take your money and appetite where the staff will respect you and your time.
