Very unwelcoming, we walked in to grab an appetizer and glass of wine, and entree to go. We had limited time. Patio empty. I walked up to be sat and the server asked “have you looked at the menu? “ … before I was even sat or offered to be sat…wrong in so many ways… I have been here before and the food is great.. I explained what we wanted to do and the response was “everyone sitting needs to have a meal or you will be given a fee” (I had 2 kids with me that had just had food) I have frequented here before many times and done just this with no issue… called asked to speak to owner or manager and she was it ?? Will gladly take my business elsewhere.
We walked into the garden seating area and the woman wait staff said “ no dogs” we said “ guide dog” found seating and sat down. The food was fairly tasty, the waitress had a bad vibe even though we were courteous. I was surprised no bread or oil and really disappointed our meals were served in take out plastic dishes with covers under them. Food prep took some time. First time and sadly our last.
How is this place not 5 stars— I don’t know. I was strolling around town and this place caught my eye walking out the candy store next door.Joe noticed it was my first time and explained the menu more in depth and even pointed out the specials. I ended up ordering the fettuccine zazá.My goodness, haven’t tasted an Alfredo sauce as velvety as this one. Not only are you getting the perfect portion, they have complimentary garlic bread, and a bottled water.Cherry on top, the cannolis, of course filled all the way.The perfect place for a date or client meeting. Customer for life.
I am so glad that we found Tutto Benne. I don’t write reviews very often but feel I have to let everyone know how great this place is. The food and service is exceptional. Everything is good, we usually order takeout on their pastas. The workers are always friendly and kind. Highly highly recommend tutto benne if you are looking for a good Italian restaurant in the glen ellyn area!
I had the best experience here for lunch. I loved it! The pizza is great, and I can't wait to come back!!!!
Arancini- about the size of of golfball. So crispy on the outside which is hard to find. Stuffed with a little gravy and cheese and served with marinara. Only down side was the marinara was cold, hope it was bc it was served Covid style (Togo container).Vegetable Lasagna- super hard to get a good bite bc it all slides apart so I was glad we got bread to put it on top of. Very cheesy and delicious, just needs something in it to add more structure.Meatballs- just got the side of them to go with the vegetable lasagna, so good! Will be back to try a mestball sub soon.Eggplant Rollini- My girlfriend (%100 Italian) got this and was slightly disappointed. Not sure if it was again bc of Covid style serving, was a bit soggy. For her taste it needed a bit more breading and fried with light gravy or on the side. Darn dagos are so picky lol.
Best Italian food in the West suburbs! Puffs are a great starter and pizza is amazing!
Had the cheese tortellini. Ate so good i ate it to fast
Just OK. The patio is nice for dinner. The food was so-so. My stuffed shells were a little dry and the sauce lacked spice. The spinach rotolo was better but nothing special. Beer selection is awful. Service was very good.
This was the best dinner I’ve had in a very long time. The food was absolutely delicious exactly like my grandmother from Napoli made. I will be back regularly! Delizioso! Complimenti allo chef! Grazie ❤️
