My family has been coming to Santa Fe restaurant since the early 80s. The food is wonderful, the atmosphere is great and they have the best margarita! So many memories of family gatherings here. I no longer live in Glen Ellyn, but I do come back to enjoy the food, service and memories of the little gem of a restaurant. It's a very special place to me!
It is always tough doing individual orders and drinks, but they did a pretty good job all while serving other customers in the rest of the restaurant. The food was good, I had the BBQ chicken dinner - with Mexican sides. The margaritas were watered down.
Been a patron of Santa Fe for many years! The dressed peppers are the best around, always consistent and delicious. Enjoying a margarita and flauta & enchilada for Lunch today!
We stopped for lunch. We shared chicken fajitas and the chorizo queso fundido…both were excellent. It’s a beautiful setting and our server Rayna was very gracious. Definitely recommend this restaurant, don’t let the construction stop you, we’ll definitely be back to try Margaritas!
Very quaint place. Food is not too spicy or hot, unless you ask for it. I don't usually like Mexican food, but I enjoyed it here. You get your choice of tortillas and beans, which is nice.
Such an incredible & welcoming place! The staff was incredibly helpful and sweet. Great interior & delicious food & drinks.My friend and I arrived right as their kitchen closed (8:30), because their Yelp hours said they were open until 10. They offered us a table, offered us quesadillas, chips, guac, salsas & drinks. I’m the kind of person that never would go to a place right as they’re closing, but snow storm, yelp hours & everything else being closed led me to staying after their kitchen was closed. In the face of this the workers were incredibly kind, attentive, and friendly. Reyna was the sweetest bartender/server & I will 10000% be coming back (at a more reasonable time!) Thank you Santa Fe, you guys went above & beyond
The guac was good. Everything else was pretty disappointing. My enchiladas arrived cold and were chicken, not beef as ordered. There were other mistakes at our table as well as other cold dishes served.The margaritas were very strong, but tasted like bottled marg mix and I expected a bit more for the price. For the price, there are a lot better options in the area.

A family favorite for many years. The longy tacos are a must try, but everything on the menu is great. Service is always excellent as well.
This is one of our favorite Mexican restaurants in the area! Their warm chips and salsa is so good. Tacos and chimichangas are excellent. We love their margaritas!
