The Banana Nut French Toast was quite good.
Hats off to one of the best servers, Nikki. I have worked in hospitality for over 25 years and she has perfect timing. Accurate menu knowledge and unobtrusive yet frequent table approach. My coffee mug was frequently full as was water. Food portions and quality and flavor were on point. Without a hiccup she cleared my wife’s plate when my wife said she was finished. Minus one star for a dirty fork. When in Glenn Ellyn we will be back to eat at Danby.
Danby's station is a local institution. Excellent quality food, excellent staff. Always fresh made to order and turnaround on food is super quick, even when the restaurant is packed. I also cannot say enough good things about the wait staff. Always polite and super helpful.
What do you do when your wife is taking care of her dad in the hospital and you are unexpectedly working a full day alongside 3 kids with the day off? You order pancakes and eggs because you know they will eat it. You know what goes wrong? Ordering from Danby’s Station through Postmates, where they will leave out half the order and then give you a refund — which does no good when the kids are screaming. Danby’s Station, you had one job to do: make the right food and put it in a bag. Total failure. Do better. People are counting on you.

This is our “go-to” place when we want breakfast out! Hands down the best! Consistent food prep and execution, consistently attentive and friendly staff, and the food is delish! Not too loud, so conversations can happen.Danby’s feels like home and we always feel welcomed and cared for here! If you’ve never seen Charlie clear a table, you need to. He represents the attitude of the staff here. Dedicated, hard working, friendly, and professional!If you haven’t, give it a try. I’m sure you won’t be disappointed.
Nice local place for breakfast or lunch. Many choices for both. Large portions and very reasonable prices. The specials are hard to beat! Staff was friendly and efficient. Our waitress Nikki was great!
