We were visiting from out of state and craving beef sandwiches. As a vegan I was so excited to try their vegan beef. We ordered 4 regular beef sandwiches and 4 plant-based beef sandwiches (and 4 large fries). Alice was very polite and efficient taking our order. The food was ready promptly and packaged well to take home. At first it was a little difficult determining which sandwiches were the beef and which were plant based because they weren’t marked at all, but we figured it out once we opened them up (plant based are more peppery and a slightly different color.) The flavor of the vegan sandwiches was delicious and spot-on from what I remember a Buona Beef sandwich tasting like. Their fries are not vegan or vegetarian, but my family that ate them said they were horrible (dry and cold even though only a 10 minute drive home) and not worth getting next time. I hope I can continue to have a Vegan Buona beef every time I visit the Chicago area.
I have been dining at Buona for a few years and typically enjoy a beef sandwich or a protein bowl which are always so tasty. Today I ordered through a delivery app and decided to try a hamburger.This was without a doubt one of the best burgers I've had. I enjoyed my lunch from the very first bite to the last tasty morsel.Buona will be my go to spot the next time I want a hamburger.
Take a look at my cold dry beef sandwich that i could have done a better job at home with. Also the cheese spread just tastes ultra-processed. I'm only giving a bad review on Google because I gave them a bad review internally and then they sent me a credit to give them another shot and then you click on the redeem button and the qr-code deletes and you can't go back and print it to use it LOL. Bad food amd a scam.
Terrible service and I almost left before I got my food even after paying. Buona food is great though btw it's just this location with whoever the dumb kid is managing the place. I was only 3rd car in line and all 3 of us waited at least 20 minutes no exaggerating. Great food but get ready to wait forever and a day and I would keep driving if there's more than 1 car waiting in the drive thru lane. Thanks and hopefully this improves your location because I really do love Buona Beef it's the best around. 5 stars for the food!
We love this place, but the last time we were there (on Wednesday 5/4) we had gotten a take-out order and they got everything wrong. Salt on fries and burger when we asked for none, hot peppers on the Italian beef when we asked for sweet. I called and the manager apologized and said that she would email me a credit because she could not refund our completely inedible meal. I looked later that evening and saw no email from them so I called back and she told me it might take a day or two for it to show up. So here I am, FOUR days later and no email from them. I don't expect to see one; I imagine she just said that to placate me. In general I love this place and I still plan to go back, but I just want to mention the service I got, and Carlos the cashier who didn't even bother to let the kitchen know about our special requests to ensure that they were followed. Poor form Buona. You can (and have) done better. Try harder, and don't give false or inaccurate information to your customers.
Super clean and run very well. Employees were wonderful. Food was fresh, hot and made quickly. Everything was so good and large portion sizes. Highly recommend! Everything was made just now we ordered.
Picked up a few salads, A beef, a hamburger and fries yesterday for dinner for the family.Just wondering why the full Caesar salad didn't have croutons or cheese on it?This is the second time we ordered the full-sized one and it didn't come with any! The small Caesar side salad did!It was not worth driving all the way back to pick up the missing pieces!The rest of the food was excellent!
Had the vegetable pizza and it was fantastic. Who knew a beef place would have good pizza. My son loved his beef sandwich and side salad.
We ordered a couple sandwiches and some fries to-go. We waited a full 30 minutes for our food. We sat there watching the order bagging area and it was totally disorganized.There were a lot of angry customers losing patience.
