Best pizza ever… family friendly… owner onsite
This place is like a warm hug. I've been enjoying Barones pizza since I was 4 years old. The perfect blend of food and nostalgia for me. In all honesty though Barones has hands down the best Chicago tavern style pizza in the WORLD! When ever I have visitors from out of town and they think they want deep dish, I take them here is have real Chicago style pizza.The customer service has always been top notch. I'm sad that we are moving from the area soon, this will be one of the places I miss the most.
Lasagna and eggplant parmesan was good. The spaghetti and meatballs was not good, Vinegar like Sauce, and the meatballs were some of the worst tasting meatballs I ever had. They did comp that dish though.The staff and waitress were very nice, I would recommend this place but not the spaghetti and meatballs, stay away from that, FAR AWAY.

Always great! Been enjoying their pizza and pasta since they opened some 50 years ago. Try the Pasta Jumbalaya and thin crust pizza. Truly the Better of the Best.UPDATE: Just got in to the Chicken Tetrazzini that we ordered. Minor thing for most, but I was disappointed. I expect Tetrazzini to be served with spaghetti. They served it with Penne. Next time I'll order it with spaghetti.One more thing! LOL! I haven't had their lasagna in decades. We ordered it tonight, and it is superior to Clara's and Maggiano's!
Best pizza around... been going there for years with family and friends.... staff is like family
It was Friday evening and the house was full which shows popularity of the place but our server seemed a little flustered with too many people to serve.We ordered margherita pizza which had nice thin crust and balanced tomato based flavor. I would give it 4/5. Lazio salad had overpowering flavors and not so tasty. I’ve been here before many years ago for a group dining and the food experience was better. I think next time I will stick with dishes they make best.
Excellent appetizers and Pizza!!! Love the. Atmosphere and our waitress was very friendly and attentive!. They have a Great selection of crafts. Will definitely be back!!!
Ordered a Valentine’s pizza and it was double dough. Yuck called they said the heart shape pizzas are double doughProbably premade . Disappointed ☹️Also had a party in January order 3 xl pizzas they were not good everyone at the party was disappointed. Not good
