Such an amazing place to visit compared to the various bookstore I've visited in the past.
What a fun little place. Perfect for a cup of coffee. Quaint for a nice read. Great gift selection and more.
This is one of my favorite bookstores ever! Everyone is so friendly and knowledgeable. I will always make the drive to visit them!
Such an amazing place to visit compared to the various bookstore I've visited in the past. The layout is so organized and colorful with tons of books and novelty items to choose from and the employees are very helpful and friendly. They also have a cafe on their first floor where they have a ton of delicious treats and drinks! Next time I'll have to try them out when I can!Definitely coming back when I meander to Geneva again!
Harvey’s is one of the best independent bookstores I’ve ever visited! They have all the newest books and best sellers, plus a banned book room, true crime nook, kids’ room, and so much more. If that’s not enough, they also have a marvelous coffee shop! The staff here is phenomenal and I love their rewards program. Shop local and keep this gem in Geneva!
This is not a review of the store, which is great, but of the employees.Totally understand restrooms not being open to the public. I ran inside to ask for the bathroom because my husband had just spent a while poking around the shelves while I was with our daughter and dog in the car.I was greeted upon entering, and was kindly asked “hi welcome to Harvey’s Tales, can I help you find anything?” And I was like “yeah! May I use your restroom?” And the bookseller just said “sorry, no,” and then stared at me.Moments passed.I kinda laughed? Because it was such a weird way to say “I’m sorry, but our restrooms are for customers only“ or “not open to the public.” Or maybe recommend a place I *could* use the restroom?Anyway, I peed at Barnes & Noble and bought stuff there instead.
My favorite independent book store. Hands down!
Harvey’s tales just about the cutest bookstore I’ve ever been to. It has all the feels of a fun never-know-what-you’re-gonna-find bookstore but the cleanliness and organization of a corporate bookstore. The place is named after the owners former Bernese mountain dog and they have little nods to their dog all through out the place. They’ve got a nice quaint little coffee shop in the middle of the store that you’ve got to stop at. Play some XL scrabble while you sip on some great coffee. The upstairs has a reservable book club room that is quiet and private. There are plenty of reading nooks to use as well.
What a cool place! Fun for all ages. They have something for everyone and you could look around for hours. This is the type of local business our family loves to support. Thanks for a great adventure.
What a wonderful bookstore! So many great rooms full of books, puzzles, and other things book lovers like. Friendly staff and a buyer's club to reward your purchases.
