60th birthday!! We were in town to see Metallica at lalapalooza. We drove in from Minneapolis. Found this gem on open table & it was wonderful. Most delicious olive oil too!!
The food was excellent and very reasonably priced.
Our host joked with us, especially calling out hubbyâs âDadâ joke! ð Our waitress did a great job especially noting hubbyâs lactose intolerance. And the bar person served drinks right away. This is a sweet gem of a restaurant. Iâm glad we found it.

A nice little spot in Evanston to enjoy a great meal. They have several unique and tasty dishes on their menu.

We love Trattoria Demi -- the cuisine, the ambiance and the service and an amazing value. We keep ordering the cioppino and can enjoy it the next day! paired with a bottle of Montepulciano -- perfection. We've dined there as a couple and with a party of 8 -- both are memorable experiences. Owner Denise takes personal pride with every dish she serves -- all authentic Italian. We would highly recommend Trattoria Demi
Normally I don't write reviews or respond to surveys, but this place was excellent. We were visiting from out of town and wanted a nice meal on Saturday night so we made a reservation. The food was amazing and the price was very reasonable. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. If I lived nearby I would eat at Trattoria Demi over and over again.
Very friendly, welcoming place. The Italian menu selection was large and the meals came out quickly, hot and delicious. Our waitress was attentive and engaging. It was a little noisy, but we enjoyed the atmosphere and were well served.
Risotto with Shrimp and Mushroom Truffle Tagliatelle were excellent.
