Service was slow and inattentive. Had to call twice to order and to look for servers several time when trying to get the check in the end. Server never came to the table to ask how the meal is. Poured myself water the whole meal from the pitcher that was put on my table. Asked for takeout bag for dessert, came home and saw no utensils or even napkins… it’s just disappointing considering this is more of an upscale restaurant in this area and the low quality of service and professionalism that were provided. The food was not bad but the portions are small.
Hidden gem in Evanston! Had such a great meal & great time (loved the ambiance). They really put the extra effort into the presentation & everything looks just as good as it tastes! Our favorite "must get" item was the robata skirt steak! The sushi was high quality, fresh, and the selection was good (ended up ordering more of the o toro nigiri) Highly recommend trying the Thai iced tea and the miso soup! My date ordered the Tamarind noodles & he said it was also good! Make sure to save room for dessert- everything is made in their kitchen (my favorite was the mochi flight)No reservations needed as there was plenty of tables available, outdoor seating as well. This is a BYOB restaurant & they dont charge a cork fee.
This place is amazing! I came here with my wife while we were on vacation. The quality and presentation of the food is top notch! The service was 5 star, our server Chelsea made us feel like royalty, she took such good care of us! I would highly recommend this restaurant, it was one our favorite places in Chicago!
I come here often for their sushi special. I love their unique vegetable/fruit toppings on each sushi piece. I tried most of their menu and everything is solid. The staff is very kind as well so I highly recommend this gem. Everyone I brought here loved it!
I tried the crunchy salmon sushi and the tamarind noodles and they tasted really good.
Great food and atmosphere!
Underrated and best sushi I've had in a while. My server was awesome she let me in although it was near to the closing time. ???
We have lived down the street from this restaurant and its many incarnations for almost a decade. Finally we took the plunge on a Monday night (a week before vday) to check it out. It was excellent. the flavors and the service. A bit costly compared to most but worth it.
I was shocked. An Evanston restaurant with high quality nigiri?! Can this be?? Especially since most places that do good traditional nigri -only- do sushi. Although I could do without the fancy toppings on the nigiri, they didn't detract from the flavor which was good. Prior to this place my go to sushi restaurant was Ora sushi, but I'm definitely coming back.
Fantastic Unique Food! It’s a don’t miss it !
