My husband and I ordered pork dry sizzling and shichuan beef stew. Both come with rice. Beef stew was large, the portion is for 2 people. We took half of food home. Very delicious. Will definitely come back to this place.

Large portions and tasty. Excellent place for a larger group. Extremely reasonable prices. Friendly staff. The only downside is that food comes out fast. We got our main courses before appetizers. Everything was shared anyway so it didn't matter.

The food here is incredible and everything comes out hot, fresh, flavorful, and quickly too! The seasonal specials menu is where you want to order from, but the standard menu is also good. I highly recommend the dry sizzling pots. 4 Stars purely because the service here isn't the best. It takes forever for wait staff to come and take orders or bring a check at the end- if they can get some better servers or training they would definitely earn that 5 Stars from me!

I love there food! So authentic and delicious. I wish they were closer to me so that I could visit more often. I recommend the Taiwanese beef noodle soup, it reminds me of home. I like their sautéed string beans as well. If you want something that is salty and flavorful, go for the beans.

I had really good times at Shang Noodle when I was a Northwestern student. However, they charged me more tips about two weeks ago and dealt with the issue in a really bad manner.I contacted the restaurant this morning and the manager's response was ridiculous. She said that charging more tips is pervasive in the US (I doubt). I should not contact them because that was not their fault. What I should do was contact the credit card customer service directly. After I provided my information and urged them to investigate the issue, the restaurant manager called back with extreme anger. "I went through all the records and EVEN ASKED A PROFESIONAL to check them ONLY to get **$2.41** back FOR YOU!", she shouted and complained.I was so frustrated with their awful customer service. It seems that their business philosophy is that they never did anything wrong. The customers are supposed to bear all the losses and be very grateful to even the very basic customer service they deserve.I will never try this restaurant again and I hope this review can help.

The online menu does not match what they give you. I ordered “ Mr. Mrs. beef tendon: chilled spicy beef tendon, beef spices, scallion, chili oil, chili peppers, peanuts” but what I received had only one piece of tendon and no peanuts. It was almost entirely pig ear and pig intestine. I walked back to the restaurant to point out the mistake but they said it was not a mistake and wouldn’t change it.

Look, I don't say this lightly. But if you order any soup from any Chinese restaurant other than Shang, you've missed an opportunity.I've only ordered once but I'm already a loyal customer. Everything is clearly house made, from the wonton to the various broths they serve. Put simply: this is why I order food. They make it better than I ever could, and it's affordable, nourishing,, and stunningly delicious.Go here. Eat. You won't regret it.

Service is spotty, some staff are kind, thoughtful, and attentive others are just there with their body but their mind was left elsewhere. Food consistently delicious. Flavor on point. Temperature as it should be. Mostly vegetable are never overcooked. So enjoyable. Taiwanese beef noodle dish - holly cow, yummy.

Super frendly staffs , clean , fast and delicios food , best location . Had realy good time. Just love it .

The king mushroom with tofu dish was very salty, even with rice I could not eat it. Unacceptable for $14!!! Also I got the house stir fried noodles and there was so much sauce. The Taiwanese beef noddle soup was also pretty salty. Overall not a good experience and not worth the $56 ☹️☹️☹️ please why do you make everything soooo salty. I don’t usually go out to eat and was disappointed to have wasted my money.
