The Plant Powered Sandwich is pretty good. Its very hot so allow it to air out. The contents inside (plant sausage and JUST EGG) will slip out while eating so it can be a little tricky. The sandwich itself is also pricey at $9.25, but it was worth a try. Coffee is a little bitter so best served with cream and sugar.-1 star for value and eh plain black coffee, but nice service and seating.
The coffee wasn't to my liking. But the ambience is great. The coffee options are also quite unique. If you like to experiment coffee, this is a good place to visit.
This location was always great before today (6/10/22). The store was absolutely not busy at all today, which should be a good thing, however it made the baristas prioritize chatting with one another.I walked into the store and had thought the store was either still closed or just opening for the day since no one was at the register. The cashier didn't seem pleased when I walked in, probably because he would rather chat with the baristas doing nothing than ringing up customers. With chatting a priority for this store, rather than announcing our orders; the barista that prepared my order didn’t announce my order until much later when another customer got theirs on the dot. I'm ordering separately, for MYSELF, not with someone else; don't announce my order with someone else's order.The cashier, who continued chatting with the baristas, also kept glancing over at me and with what I presumed was my drink that I ordered, but even he didn't bother to announce my order.Thanks for making me late for work, Philz Evanston!
Phab! Phylz is top notch Evanston coffee vibe. Wide open space, simple simon pour over coffees w complex flavors. Tesora w hint of honey and heavy cream so yummy!
They have a sign saying "Black Lives Matter" insinuating they don't discriminate. Except they wouldn't let me drink the coffee inside their establishment because I am born unvaccinated and decide to continue being how I was born. Most of unvaccinated individuals are people of color. I think they need to take their sign down.\ and replace it with "We discriminate".
This coffeehouse is most certainly worth a visit as a result of its wonderful air and an extraordinary assortment of baristas who will make your espresso more interesting. I'm certain I'll propose this bistro to anybody! All here is awesome!
philtered soul changed my life. nothing is better than getting a bennison bakery donut and then a tall glass of philz. sits like a rock in my stomach but 10/10 would recommend.
The Best coffee in town☆ミ
I literally just went there this morning. The barista who took my order was wearing an orange hat and they were very kind. They recommended the Dancing Water light roast, and wow, I love it. I will just say it is expensive though. I got a medium coffee for $5, and they brewed it right then and there, which was nice, but I had anticipated getting in and getting out and paying like a few dollars, haha. The coffee was really good though, and I'll come here when I want to treat myself to something nicer, but it won't be an everyday thing for me. Really great people work here too, by the way.
