meh. fast service the best thing here. also looks kind of cool & modern if you're into that. expensive relative to comparable places, so there must be a reason...i tried the oat maple cold brew. it was just ok - not strong enough & a bit too sweet. ironic because this particular cold brew is advertised as extra strong (and why I decided to get this particular drink).in my experience colectivo has had the best coffee in the NU area.

It certainly looks cool and stylish inside. The servers are friendly and the service fast. But, at the end of the day it’s about the coffee, and Newport Cafe just doesn’t seem to have the skill yet. It’s like I was drinking warm milk.Luckily, better tasting coffee can happen as the team maybe gets some more experience.

Come here for the atmosphere if all white everything is your taste. Limited but nice seating options with a fire pit outside (which wasn’t lit but still looked nice). Latte was extremely weak and it didn’t taste very good. I went with a friend and we both did not enjoy our drinks. 7/11 is a better option if you actually want to taste some caffeine (I would argue it tastes better as well). Very nice staff and did not have to wait long at all for the coffee even though there were a lot of people there. Quite steep prices. If you are in Evanston, I would recommend Colectivo if you are looking for strong coffee at a similar price.

One of my favorite cups of coffee in evanston! The dining room is such a fun, clean, and great space to enjoy a cup and convo! Great leadership as well, I love stopping by their shop and seeing their awesome coffee cart at events!

If you want coffee from people that know and care for coffee, this is your place. Clean and fresh designed shop, expertly roasted fresh beans and amazing pastries and baked goods. Their specialty menu looks amazing but haven't tried any of the drinks yet. Have my eye on the Ligonberry Cold Brew. Staff is gracious and friendly. We will be back!

Due to covid limited space. Its like a libabry-studying place for young people theat occupy a space for hours. We bought a pastery and coffe but there was no space to sit. Nobody moved from more then 20 minutes. Will not go back.

I loved this coffee shop immediately with its beautiful minimal, clean design, creative coffee and tea drinks and comfortable vibes. They have the best vegan scone I've ever had in the city. It only got better and better as we got to know the staff who are simply LOVELY. We look so forward to our visit every week and are really grateful for this team of coffee professionals.

Best coffee place in North Chicagoland. Cappuccino is fruity and balanced, just perfect. Not burnt like in one famous coffee chain;)

Perhaps something's changed between all these positive reviews and now, but this coffee shop came across as simply "pretentious".Pros: Nice location, friendly staff, and, beautiful white decor.Cons:- Heavily overpriced, especially given the smaller cup sizes.- The mocha I got, tasted weak (granted that is a slightly more technical drink to make).- Ridiculous 1 hour limit on the maximum time you can occupy a table. You better make notes before you go sit there to talk to a friend ;)For a business marketing themselves as sustainable, they sure use an obnoxious amount of electricity in lighting, during the bright of day. Not to mention the flimsy chairs there, despite being sustainably made, and European design and whatnot, are not quite functional, and are probably unsustainable even over a few years. Sorry, this trend of overcharging people in the name of appearance and sustainability, without getting The basics of a coffee shop right, cannot be condoned. Not recommended.

High quality coffee and pastries, and friendly employees.
