Lao Sze Chuan is an authentic Szechuan Chinese restaurant. The food is very fresh, well prepared with generous portions. Non-touristic and void of the heavy sauces. The chef was very attentive and came to our table to clarify preferred ingredients. I have visited Chinatown on many occassions and was introduced by a close friend and herbalist to two types of menus, authentic home-style Chinese and touristic American. Be advised, they don't serve fortune cookies in China... I highly recommend Lao Sze and we will return most definitely. We do not agree with the petty comments at all.
Stop by to have an early dinner with my husband…food looked to be good based on reviews, however we were extremely disappointed …the food taste was minimal at best! And what Asian restaurant charges for steam rice with your entree? Are you kidding me? No alcohol… … Service was good…attentive but unfortunately not to par for what we paid and expected!
Wow ? place was amazing and empty... for as good as the food was I can't imagine why there was no one in there. They had a huge menu and plenty of great choices. I had their specialties and I was greatly satisfied. Others have spoken of how pricey ot is but for thee amount of food and the quality it was well worth it. I would definitely come back. I was staying at the hotel close gy but was glad to have discovered this place as I was very impressed they are very decorated with awards and very well deserved. The waiters were attentive and I really enjoyed my experience. Don't listen to the Van reviews this place was delicious. ?
The food is amazing, and the portion sizes are big! One of the best Chinese restaurants in the area.
They were 5 star, but now there is lunch menu is different
Overall it's okay and their drink is awesome u guys should try
the food was absolutely horrible. even olive garden food is soooo much more tasty and fresh than this garbage
Probably one of my favorite places up north
About a one full notch above being the Szechuan Panda Express. I’d probably try the chicken again but unfortunately with much lower expectations.-Avoid the duck. It was not fatty and was exceptionally dry to the point of tasting old. The sauce added nothing memorable.-The Szechuan chicken was fine. Less than delicious and and nowhere near an expectation of tingling numb spice of a dry-pot fried chili chicken.
The Yangzhou fried rice I ordered was stinky, especially the sausage! The string beans were not tasty as ordered from other Lao Sce Chuan. Really disappointed!
