Rude customer service. I placed an order on the app to pick up my bubble tea in the Evanston store. I went in the store to wait for my order to be made, and the lady with short straight hair working at the time asked what I wanted so I told her I placed the order in the app already. She yelled at me and said I need to let her know next time because she doesn’t know that I ordered on the app. The tea I received was also too sweet (I regularly order the oolong milk tea with less sugar and noticed the difference). I will not be returning to this location again because of the unprofessional customer service.PS: there was a kind lady in front of me who ordered a drink and she got yelled at abrasively by the short hair lady as well.
Ordered boba tea for my daughter’s birthday. I was able to order it it in larger portions (for 50 people) at a great price too. It was such a hit at the party and the drinks and tapioca were delicious. I have to say they have it down with their tapioca being so soft and the perfect texture. Love this location! Also the owner took care of us and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed.
My go-to boba place in Evanston. Although it is a chain, I appreciate the consistent new seasonal flavors and rewards system you can enroll in with their app. Service is always quick and the boba (tapioca pearls) is consistently prepared better than other boba places I have tried. Hate that they charge extra for boba, but just about every boba place does this nowadays.
Their bubble tea and slushes are all tasty, and the popcorn chicken/takoyaki is good! However, regarding the popcorn chicken, eat it soon or else it gets a little soggy.Love the little appetizers you can buy at this location.2018
Ordered from uber eats today 3/21/22 and ordered a sunshine grape-ade. I’ve had many ade’s in the past and they’ve always come carbonated with fruit syrup. As you can see I received a different drink, a sunshine pineapple tea ? Completely wrong fruit and wrong drink type, Im confused as to how this happened. Very disappointed, I had paid quite a bit for the grape-ade with %100 sugar only for a random tea to come that tasted bitter with old tapioca inside. If you do not have a product in stock please PLEASE call the customer to see what else they would like. I’m also looking at the website and the pineapple tea and grape-ade are in completely different categories as well. Giving 2 stars because the taro slush we ordered was actually correct.
Definitely a great boba place! I definitely recommend easing up on sugar - a 30%-50% is perfectly sweet enough for a good drink, no matter boba or tea. A 100% will make the drink both unhealthier and taste worst than a moderate amount of sugar. Otherwise great spot!
Unpleasant drink, rude service also seen them wearing no gloves. Please follow safety procedures
Kung Fu has the most consistent and delicious boba of all the spots in Evanston and Rogers Park. Never too sweet, too much ice, or bland tea, no matter what you order. The fried chicken onigiri with spicy mayo plus a milk tea is a truly wonderful snack any time of day! I've always gotten takeaway since the seating isn't particularly inviting, and it's all very well packaged.
